1. Should Governments prioritize spending on the exploration of space, why?

Yes. If the population continues to grow as it has over the last 150 years, we will very shortly be needing to colonise other planets.

2. Exploration: Is space an important frontier for human exploration/inspiration?

There are only two left. The oceans and space.

3. Science: Does space exploration benefit science, human understanding?

Of course. Studying new things brings new understanding.

4. Funding: Should space exploration be publicly funded?

It depends. In a socialist society it should. In a capitalist society it might be better to let businesses compete to establish the best projects.

5. Planet: Does the human race need to be able to move to another planet?

Not right now, but eventually. Even if populations are kept within sustainable levels then eventually this planet will become uninhabitable for other reasons.

6. Mars: Are missions to mars important, worth funding?

They are perhaps the best missions to fund at present because Mars would serve as a great starting point for learning to colonise other worlds. It is within reachable distance of Earth and it probably even has water. What we would need to focus on in the long term is a way to make hostile atmospheres breathable, and Mars would be the first step to achieving that. First we would live in structures, which will gradually get bigger and more complex as time progresses.

If we do get that far and begin colonising other worlds, we will probably also eventually see evolutionary differences relative to the different environments those people are living in.

7. Robots: Should people be flown to space instead of robots?

For the safer missions. There's no point wasting human life if it isn't necessary to do so.

8. International relations: Is sending humans to space good for international relations?

Generally speaking, yes. It helps nations unite because there is a common purpose directing them, and also because of the insignificance international politics has when faced with the vastness of space.

9. Taxpayers: Should opponents of space exploration still be required to contribute?

I don't know why anybody would object to the exploration of space, but even if they did then it is my understanding they would likely never even find out, since governments do not, in my experience, give those type of meticulously honest breakdowns about where and on exactly what each tax dollar has been spent. Government tax expenditure records are deliberately obscure precisely because governments are rarely enthusiastic about full accountability.

10. Tell some of the disadvantages, you perceive, from space exploration.

Cost. It requires the research and development of new technologies. Not only financial cost either, but also the cost in human lives will be great. Space is an extremely inhospitable place.

Having a bit of a "dragging across the rug" moment??

We need ALL exploration, interplanetary, interrelsational, intercourseonal-al, and interpersonal. Listen and learn. We are dumb to the next centurions. (If they get the chance to exist.)

(Best to ignore the irrelevant canine barking, in whatever language .... translation ....woof! :-)
