The Left has a narrative but it's a corrupt lie from corrupt people.
Their narrative has been the same for decades..... according to the Left, hard working Americans who succede in life and become wealthy are the problem.
According to the Left's narrative, these white rich people are basically racists, facists, haters of women, haters of poor people, haters of old people, etc. etc.
They are basically deplorable and irredeemable.
The Left says we must punish these hard working wealthy people who take all the risks and create most of our jobs.
The Left says we must redistribute their money to give to the irresponsible lazy folks and thereby buy their votes.
This is the Left's narrative and has been for many decades. Gee go figure why they are losing elections. They never do a thing to actually address the problems. All they do is insult the Right and blame them for poor people.

The left has a problem with you calling people who work three jobs "lazy" because they haven't been "successful" and it has an even bigger problem with you calling people who have inherited large amounts of wealth "hard working". In America, in order to control gun violence, statistically we need to cut down on gang violence. In order to cut down on gang violence (gangs being monopolized by minorities), we need to quit letting in people from third world countries with no skills, no education, and no prospects other than to join a gang for survival, into the country. Without gangs, there is almost no gun violence in America outside of suicides. Disarming law abiding citizens means what? Only non-law abiding citizens who do almost all of the killing with guns will actually have guns because they won't care what the gun laws say, and getting an illegal gun is easier than baking a pie.
Go ahead and try to take away 350 million guns from people. Even if they could do it, which would cause a civil war, they'll build their own. They might not be the quality of the ones now, but they'll still kill a man. Simple styled guns are about as hard to make as spam in a can. You'd simply create a vacuum for an underground market for guns. They did the same with drugs, so people just did it and in mass, but underground. It created a new type of illegal business, and now you just have mass guns out there that are not registered and can't be traced back to anyone. America isn't Australia. It isn't an island. It has thugs and criminals crossing its borders in mass every day.

I don't need to take them away. I just need to put enough people in jail to make them realise why it isn't OK to break the law. People should not have to live in fear because of your unreasonable attitude to guns.
1)We don't have the jail space. They put people in jail ever day in America for gun violence, then let them loose because they don't have the space, and it stops no one.
2)Throwing people in jail wouldn't stop gang members from doing anything. They'd probably consider it a declaration of war by the police and government and arm up even more.

Okay. Most gang members are involved in drugs. Most gun violence is caused by gang members. You get rid of the drug dealers from the jails and put the gun violence back on the street.... Rinse, wash, repeat, eh Quantum?

There is no such law in place because said law could not be enforced without martial law. The "breaking of the law" isn't reality. It only exists in your theoretical scenario. And if you started rounding up every gun carrier that decided to screw the law, the jails would be full before your rounded up .0000001% of them.

None of those countries are as large as the United States or as diverse per mass immigration. This being why they don't have all of the gangs that we have. The United States has as many people as many Western nations combined. The countries with these policies also have become easy prey for groups like ISIS. Those laws will not disarm ISIS. And if you are flooded with people from cultures that don't care about Western values, as the U.S. has been, those laws won't work anymore. The traditional multi generational Americans of the traditional American culture aren't violent, nor do they have gun violence issues. We have more violent immigrants in the U.S. than France or Australia has people. Texas by itself has more people than Australia, and 1/50th the land. When I was young and the amount of immigrants in the U.S. was very small, and much of the land was unoccupied, gun violence and gang violence wasn't much of an issue compared to today.

I read your information. It actually doesn't match your point. Pointing out there are mass gun thefts doesn't help your assertion. Most guns out there aren't legal. Most people with guns don't have legal guns. Making them illegal doesn't really change anything based on your own links.

59,000 deaths/wounded from guns in one year.
Divided by 350,000,000 people in the U.S.
That's one gun death/wounded to every 5,932 people.
That's actually pretty great odds that you don't get shot in the United States, and it doesn't even consider that most of those deaths/wounded are by gang on gang violence. The numbers on non gang members probably amounts to almost no chance you get killed/wounded by a gun if not for gangs.

No. I've done many debates on guns and know the statistics. So what I believe is statistical facts. You believe that taking down all gang members in America wouldn't take an act of war. That's a fairy tale. You also believe that Joe Blow on the street couldn't make a gun. Another fairy tale. You also believe that if you throw people in jail in mass, that it's free, that we'd have the space, and that there would be no retribution on a massive scale. 3 fairy tales.

Try that in Los Angeles or New York City and tell me what happens. The NYC metro has as many people as the entire country of Australia just by itself. I live in a city with 650,000 people, and that isn't even considered a large city in the United States.
There are 23 million people in this one metro area. You couldn't take the guns from here, much less all of the other giant American cities filled with gangs with thousands upon thousands of members. There are more gang members in the U.S. than Australia has people in its whole entire country.

I don't live in fear, and we have guns all over the damn place. If I'm not in gang areas or messing around with gangs, my chances of getting shot are about like... Australia's....
