Dems want the Government to shut down because this is their only hope of slowing economy.
Trump once said if the Government shuts down it is ultimately the President who is responsible as the leader. Also Republicans control House and Senate. Sounds like the one's wanting the shut down are the ones who are currently in control and our "leader" who bragged at being a "deal maker". 1

Spot on! For anyone curious, here's a few quotes from Trump addressing the government shutdown. “Problems start from the top, and they have to get solved from the top, and the President’s the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room, and he’s got to lead. And he doesn’t do that, he doesn’t like doing that, that’s not his strength. And that’s why you have this horrible situation going on in Washington. It’s a very, very bad thing and it’s very embarrassing worldwide.” - Donald Trump, September 2013 "Leadership: Whatever happens, you're responsible. If it doesn't happen, you're responsible." - Donald Trump, November 2013 "Well, very simply, you have to get everybody in a room. You have to be a leader. The president has to lead. He’s got to get [the Speaker of the House] and everybody else in a room, and they have to make a deal. You have to be nice, and be angry, and be wild, and cajole, and do all sorts of things. But you have to get a deal." Donald Trump, October 2013 By burning a giant hole in the ozone layer and giving us all sunburn? By rolling back national park protections? By erasing biodiversity? That's not the Democrat party, that's the Rewhiner Party. PS. Saying Democrat Party makes you sound stupid. It also bothers the hell out of me. 1
