It is now completely unacceptable for anyone to criticise a Jewish culture: antisemetic is most socially aberrant things you you can possibly be. In fact, I think here in Germany it might even be illegal. This has put the Jewish community in a much stronger position than before Hilter.
Its not illegal to criticise Jewish culture its illegal to deny the holocaust. Are you seriously suggesting that they would be glad to have had all their family members butchered just because it has turned people more against Anti-Semitism? Would you like me to murder your entire family in exchange for less criticism for you in the future?

With respect I think the evidence that Hitler intended to exterminate the Jews is extremely shaky. For a start, Hitler had about 100,000 Jews or partial Jews fighting for him in the German army. Furthermore, Hitler was a politician, and one who believed Communism was a tremendous evil which would spill out of the Soviet Union and swallow up the whole of Europe. A lot of people executed by Hitler were Jewish, yes, but they were also Communists. Mostly Polish and Russian peasants. I think the Holocaust has been purposefully mythologised by powerful men who want to use it as an excuse for any and all future actions.
I know Holocaust deniers have rationalized many reasons why it either didn't happen or wasn't as big a deal as has been made. And I know the right way to handle this debate would be to go find a bunch of sources and start trading the evidence. But I really don't want to. Because to me the evil and seriousness and reality of the Holocaust is undeniable. It's going to take a lot of breathtaking new evidence to even begin to persuade me to believe Hitler didn't intend to exterminate the Jews.

Grenache, this is where your reason has broken down and you have become a robot. The evidence that Hitler wanted to exterminate all the Jews IS shaky, whether you choose to accept it or not. I did not deny the Holocaust (in that I do not deny Hitler killed an awful lot of people), only your mythologised version of it. Your brain has been trained to attack anything threatening its belief system with the two word phrase "Holocaust denier" and that is a clear sign of brainwashing. I was not alive when the Holocaust occurred, and I am guessing neither were you. Neither of us knows for sure what did or didn't happen. But one thing I do know for sure is that people react very similarly to an evidence based assessment of the Holocaust to the way they do when you make an evidence based assessment of the 9/11 attacks. They start calling you names. They start calling you names because there has been a breakdown of reason somewhere along the line and they are arguing from pure emotion.

It doesn't interest me to dig up evidence and think through an argument that no it's not flat, because I really think it's a no brainer. Going through those motions and doing all that work just makes the act of responding a mockery to oneself. And meanwhile the opponent says similar to your statements - lack of personal experience, belief for sake of belief, conditioned and brainwashed, etc. They can say it, yet I'm still completely satisfied the earth is round, and Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews. I have no doubts.

I was drawn to this site to debate issues of our time. What I have found is that is filled with individuals still trying to understand who they are and where they fit into society. It is also filled with young people just starting out on the fine art of debate and debate performance.

Let's just look at this with some common sense. It has often been said that, "history is written by the victor". Consider that this may be true, and if Hitler was fighting a war against Jewish ideology, then had Hitler won, nobody would know about the Holocaust. Hardly the most neutral of sources, but of course you don't care about that because you are an idiot. Furthermore, your article contains no facts. I support the establishment of facts through a process of asking questions and collecting answers. If you refuse to permit people to ask questions about the Holocaust, and instead attack everyone who dares, then you can't blame honest, intelligent people for being confused or suspicious. The arguments supporting people being forbidden to question the Holocaust are religious arguments. You can't question this because it's blasphemy and you are a heretic etc...
