Did/does Jesus exist?

I think in all likelihood he probably did exist, but tales of his life (and death) were vastly exaggerated after the fact. There isn't any real hard evidence that he lived, but we know from other examples (i.e. King Arthur, Robin Hood etc...) that these type of legends usually begin with historical truth, and through a gradual process of Chinese Whispers (and purposeful embellishment) eventually metamorphose into something quite different.

I think a MAN, Jesus of Nazareth, DID exist. There is SOO much evidence. If he WAS the "son of god", and WAS "risen", (had the power to), I think he would have had the power to hang around and keep things from getting "out of hand". Keep charlatans from getting rich selling HIS name (He "allegedly" didn't like the rich, after all … at least not their greediness).

But, no. He didn't seem to have that ability … except in men's minds, to keep control of his "alleged creation(s)" Hence, I wound up an atheist, not by choice, but a preponderance of evidence against a "supreme being". I would LOVE to have a "loving god", to actually SEE "acts of love" FROM S/HE/IT. Alas, all I see is the lucky, and by majority, the UN-lucky (including the planet (creation?), who seem to have little "back-up" from ANY "god". Sure wish he'd "stuck around". :-(

We have proof that Jesus is alive because of all the stories in the Bible,Most of the stories that were in there may be true but we don't know for sure if all of it was true because we weren't there. But as i know some ¨other people¨ believes that Jesus was white when it specially says that his hair was like wool, besides the fact that he is real that is unknown because many of the other religions offspring from christianity and it is all the same religions in some sort of way.

It's more likely than not there was an extraordinary man named Jesus who lived at the time the Bible suggests. It's also more likely than not he did amazing things and brought peace and religion to a great many people. Whether or not he was born from a Virgin or the literal son of God.....that's up to the person believing in him to decide.

I don't think there would have been anything extraordinary about him at all. Perhaps he was a good talker (i.e. persuasive), but that's about it.

It's also more likely than not he did amazing things

Amazing things recorded in no historical works of the time?

Come on.

There is no archaeological or empirical evidence he ever existed, just claims and speculations.

The only real time a Roman mentioned him was after his "supposed" death. It took place in a satirical drawing.

Romans mentioned Jews claiming that they were the Messiah however.
