Do conservatives suffer from a form of dementia?

I have noticed that as people age, they tend to lean towards conservitism. Could this tendency be a slight form of dementia?

They are suffering from much more of a mental deficiency than simply dementia...

Jokes aside, I see plenty of old liberals as well.

To me, people just like to change their minds a lot.

Like, eventually I'll probably become a liberal douchebag because my sort of philosophical anarchism is gonna run dry once I see how much I've screwed up my life and then decided to settle with some chick, get married, have kids and then see how expensive life is.

Instead of caring about philosophy and principal, I'll just be selfish and choose the Democrats since they'll pay for my services.

But for now, I'm going to fight for Free Minds and Free Markets for as long as I can. Who knows, maybe I'll make a good amount of money and not have to convert to either a dipshit Conservative or faggot Liberal.

no, there are points to both sides of the argument. There are reasons some people see marriage as between only a man and a woman. Just because people still believe in what their parents taught doesn't make them mentally ill. and you definetley shouldn't of put dementia in the title of the question. My grandma has dementia and it's a really bad condition that makes it where you don't even recognize your kids or grandchildren. political views has nothing to do with dementia.
