If, as I assume you're referring to illegal immigrants then they should have the same rights as any other criminal. Illegal is defined as ''contrary to, or forbidden by law'', so in this context they are, by definition, criminals. Bronto quite rightly states that if we permit unregulated illegal immigration we could be swamped with hostile fifth columnists. The concern is, how de we know that this hasn't already happened? Side: Yes.

Legal immigrants have rights. There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant. They are invaders who broke the law. They have no rights. Otherwise the Russians could sneak their military in and have them all claim to be dreamers and asylum seekers. Then they'd kill us all....kidding. They couldn't kill 320 million armed people protected by the second amendment. Side: Yes.

Immigrant: a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country We aren't a nation of immigrants. The majority of people in the United States were born in the United States. We didn't come here, and the U.S. isn't foreign to us. Speak Cherokee If we're using your logic and saying that descendants of immigrants are immigrants, then the Cherokee were also immigrants. Their descendants didn't know anything about North America, they just came over here. Side: Yes.

So the Russian military has American rights and the right to march right in... The same with the Chinese, the North Koreans, the Iranian army, all of them... Heck, according to you, even the Nazis in the 1930s and 1940s had the right to just walk in, demand rights, demand citizenship, and demand support from social programs. Sure, the ones who become citizens. Those who come here illegally and expect to be treated the same as legal citizens are ridiculous in nature. If I entered your home unannounced and with several guns, you'd be inclined to call the police, not sit me down and give you a warm cup of milk. Why should the U.S. act differently when dealing with illegal immigrants. Side: Yes.
