Absolutely! Victimhood is core to liberalism; it's how they grow their ranks. Don't like your lot in life? You're a victim of those evil billionaires. Are you woman? You're a victim of men. Are you a minority? White man gots you under their thumb, and on and on. The left works overtime trying to create new classes of victims, too. Can't go to the bathroom of your choice? You're a victim of transgenderphobia. Is your religion being criticized? You're a victim of islamaphobia. Hell, the left even makes up new words to describe this new victimhood. I think the left has too much time on their hands. Maybe it's time they go get a job and move out of mommy's basement and they won't have time to wallow in their misery. Side: Do
I can see where this is coming from. My immediate answer is, there are as many liberals who worship victim-hood as there are conservatives who either mock it or ignore it. The best and most annoying example I can think of are the people who claim cultural appropriation for other cultures. In their quest to be a JW they are actually insulting to cultures they want to "defend". They need to just shut up and stop getting offended for something they aren't even a part of. Like-wise there is a group on the other side that wants to blame victims for being an actual victim. Liberal Socialists are only seeking to profit on the idea of victimhood, they have a special selective class of rules - or a special class of people that they focus in on and ignore others who do not hold their political views. Helping primarily and completing the task to only - those who hold views of those that agree with them receiving the funds and monies and free stuff to carry on with their lifestyles. They are eternal victims reaching out to selective victims in order to organize and propel themselves to the upper class in the pyramid scheme called socialism. TAKING and MAKING investments and monies to and by other and early and current investors and creditors who are paid primarily or wholly by current and later givers and takers. A circle of merry go round victimhood. Someone is always a victim. - asking where is the next victim's payment is their only concern - deny the facts, deny the truth and create an overwhelming out of control problem - until money is produced.
