Do overly obese peope disgust you?
This might be funny coming from a 8 months pregnant lady, who've taken on 20 pounds, but .. I'm saying it anyway.
I'm sorry if you are one of these extremely big people I'm talking about, no offense. But you should read this anyway.
Before I say anything, I want to ensure you that I am NOT talking about people who .. are 10 pounds too big, or have put on a little ''holiday weight'' as some refer to it. I am talking about these massive 300+ pound people.
I mean seriously WHAT THE FUCK? How can you get that big, HOW in the WORLD did they manage to become the size of two cows?
I just don't get it. Whenever I see these people, I can't help it but feel a little disgusted. They're faces are drowning in fat, they can barely smile.
I try not to judge people of their looks - but in my mind obesity is not a ''look''. It is a very sad cry for serious help. It is not natural to eat till you can't move.
So are you .. disgusted .. maybe that's a too harsh word to use, but often that is how I feel, so I'm just going to stick with that one. Are you digusted by overly obese people?
I realize this debate might get me very unpopular here on CD - but I need to get it out somehow, and I'd rather become a bitch on a website than in real life.
Yeah, it's pretty gross. There should have been a certain point where they thought to themselves "I need to get off my ass and lose some of this weight"... but it appears that a lot of them are just too lazy. The increase in global obesity also shows that there is an increase in global laziness. Society has made it too easy for us to stay entertained while sitting down and too easy for us to acquire unhealthy food... also while sitting down. 1

I really hate it when people say stuff like this. The only thing on my mind when I see obese people is sympathy. Even though I'm still young and have never experienced being overweight, I certainly have a little empathy towards those that are. I've always had an extremely fast metabolism. If I didn't, I would probably be overweight, as my diet isn't entirely healthy. The thing is, people gradually gain weight. It's not like someone can go from 150 to 300 overnight. American society really glorifies eating, and it's only logical that a large majority of people become overweight through the over-consumption of food. What seem like normal portions are really both way too much food, and way too unhealthy food. By the time individuals realize that they really are significantly overweight, it's HARD to change. You want to, but it's HARD. You can sit here and say that if people took better care of themselves, obesity wouldn't be a problem. I would agree with you. But the reason it disgusts you and doesn't disgust me is because I'm disgusted at the root of the problem. 2

I wouldn't even classify as "overly" to say obese people disgust me. I know we'd have to define these classifications. Being overweight isn't attractive to me, but isn't disgusting. According group the 'body/mass index' thing (which says how much you should weigh based on you height) used in America I am, if not "obese" at least overweight. And, not to say that I couldn't afford to lose a few lbs, I have a muscular structure that would make it ridiculous for me to be the 'proper' weight for my height. (That's right I'm short and muscular; big whoop, wanna fight about it?) So, yeah someone who is, by any definition, obese is offensive, if not out-right disgusting, I me. And it doesn't matter the reason (excepting glandular, which is about 10,000% less common than claimed). Yeah weight gain does/ can sneak up on you (something most fat people can't do) but there is point before you hit 3 bills where you realize "oh shit, I'm a fat ass". So everyone, not pregnant (love you shout'), take note of the jean size you currently wear and whenever you by another pair of jeans, if the size is different, ask yourself why their is a discrepancy. 1

I started gaining the weigh after I was raped. I was angry as Hell and I just did not care anymore. I then changed my meds which made the situation worse, but I have lost 25 pounds and plan on trying to lose maybe 100 more. And you really do not count in the weight category because you have to gain weight for a healthy baby. I bet you are perfect, chica. 1
