Literally? No, pencils just resist other objects from touching them with their electron field, plus they don't move very much unless you consider their constantly vibrating atoms, to be moving. Though I guess you were asking do people misspell words more when they use pencil. It is my belief that with a writing utensil, any, over a keyboard the person can spend the time while they are writing to take a mental note of every word they out on the paper, therefore spelling each word out preventing them from misspelling. Obviously not a perfect result, but often enough to assume. Side: No, people do
One thing to keep in mind is that people might be less dangerous if they were taught to "shoot". Teaching gun safety would go along with the teaching to shoot, and people might actually be safer with guns. So the idea of treating guns as such dangerous weapons may be leading to a more dangerous use of guns. After all people are more likely to spell words correctly if properly taught how to spell.
