Do people realize that, due to Covid-19 life will never be the same again?

None of the range of vaccines available to combat Coronavirus can give 100% protection.
So, in this context the Chinese disease will, to a greater or lesser extent be with us for forever.
While the vaccine will form the major part of the defense against Covid-19 we will still have to employ the existing measures of wearing face masks, social distancing, sanitizing and thoroughly washing our hands as well as avoiding crowded places such as sports fixtures and parties.

Whilst we can greatly reduce the infection rate and instances of deaths with the effective mass vaccination programs and other measures such as lock-down once we start to mingle en-mass again the virus will return with a vengeance as we can see in Italy where they've had to introduce their 3rd lockdown.

The vaccines are mostly good for reducing severity of symptoms. Less deaths, intensive care units, hospitalizations, miss days of school and work, and reduces the economic burden. None of this will eliminate let alone eradicate the virus.

Hello M:

Sure.. Change happens.. Covid-19 is just accelerating it. Is it good?? Yes.. The Trump years, combined with the virus unearthed some badly needed repairs..

But, once the cat is out of the bag, you gotta live with cats, or shove 'em back in.. I think I'm gonna LIKE what's coming down the pike.

Unless there is miracle covid-19 is here to stay. Omicron sub-variant BA is way more contagious than the original. We would need a really great vaccine and 95%+ vaccination rate to have a chance to eradicate the covid-19 virus.

We may be focusing too much on the covid-19 and should be worried about the next one. Think of this as a dress rehearsal. We need a multi-prong approach.

So yes, lets us pass vaccine mandates medical exemptions only. Deplatform the disinformation dozen, shun celebrity anti-vaxxers, come down tough on grifters, and alternative medicine practitioners including chiropractors.

I'm sure people said the same back in 1917. The possibility that ANY virus will be defeated is FAR better today than back then, and it WAS defeated back then. Today we can do far more than "pray it goes away".

We are battling a social phenomena disinformation and misinformation ever since the vaccine became readily available around May 2021. Even back when the virus was still in the bat cave we removed the early detection system that could have possibly prevented the pandemic.

Scientifically we have had the means to stop the pandemic and maybe even eradicate the virus until the omicron evolved. Yet, we missed that opportunity. Vaccination was too low and the virus continued to spread and mutate until now we are stuck with Omicron BA.

The reason we missed that opportunity was disinformation. Russia propaganda and grifters. If we could have done a better job interrupting this disinformation we could have had the global cooperative vaccination effort to end the pandemic and possibly eradicate the virus.

Blame Putin and quack tycoon grifter Dr. Mercola for why Covid-19 is here to stay.

As we know from history these types of pandemics and epidemics have a finite natural life cycle and will eventually succumb to herd immunity.

Even the variants of Covid-19 will cease to pose a threat to human health once our immune systems are fully stimulated.

Smallpox was eradicated by vaccination. The 1918 flu did burn itself out by running out of fuel. Yet, the covid-19 seems to have better immune evasion.

For example, in many cases of covid-19 the body produces no anti-bodies at all and thus no post-infection immunity. Even then post-infection immunity is short lived. Finally, the common cold seems unbeatable.

In summary there is three cases.

A. Some viruses can only be eradicated by vaccination, smallpox.

B. Others can run out of fuel and burn their-selves out the 1918 pandemic.

C. Finally, others are unbeatable like the common cold.

Sadly, I think the covid-19 is in category C and can never be beaten. We will simply not get enough vaccination rate. The quack tycoons including Dr. Mercola have won.
