Do we take swears and curses to far?

lots of people dont agree with the concept o cursing, but a lot of curses are old english. for example, ass actually meant donkey. there are probably some more. why all of a sudden is it considered a swear? do take it to so much or too much offense when being insulted with that word to consider it a swear? so whats next, idiot is going to be a curse word too?

Meh? Vulgar words mean little to me... it's just sounds after all. What if there was a bird that sang: "Fuck youuu... fuck youuuu" would we condemn that bird for making that sound? I think not. (Well, except for Srom, He'd probably kill the bird as a sacrifice to Jesus or something?)

The fact that we consider a few specific words to be offensive or derogatory is idiotic. They are simply words.

My phone auto-capitalizes the first letter of my messages. Cut me some slack, at least I didn't use a colon wrong. ;)

Words are words. If you know how to use them and when, then good for you.

If you can take swear words and curses too far so can you take all other words too far.

I think only a few people curse too much; most of people that I know either use foul language rarely or not at all.

Even so, I think there is too much cursing in the world.

Curse words are only language and those words should not garner the attention as they do.
