Do you believe in miracles?
I don't. So many people die waiting for miracles. If there are miracles, it is because God plays favorites. I see no proof of miracles.

From Merriam Webster, under 'full definition': 1 : an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs 2 : an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment While definition #1 includes divine intervention, which cannot be lent credence objectively, definition #2 carries no such constraint. There are numerous cases where the odds against the desired outcome are massive, but these do occur; By definition 2, recovery from an illness/condition with a terminal prognosis, well as winning the lottery, and the discovery of antibiotics all qualify as miracles- and all of these do happen or have happened. So I will say yes, I believe in miracles, as they have been observed to happen. I suspect, however, that the debate creator was leaning towards definition 1, which as I've stated doesn't carry any objective credibility. Side: Yes.
