Do you believe it is right to express emotion, or do you feel it should be held within?

So, we all know that many people are very open about expressing emotion, but there are also those people who choose not to express their emotions with others. Both have their reasons for their choice, so which is your prefference, or Opinion? Do you think it is wrong to express emotion openly, or do you think its right to openly express your emotions?

I do not think that there is a right or wrong in emotional expression. There is what you are comfortable and what is healthy for you and that is all.

I agree with you Jace, I don't believe there is really a right or wrong. However everyone has a preference.

Emotions are the most delicate aspect of the human being. It is too easily manipulated, and has caused not infrequently people to do stupid things. No amount of brainwashing can convince us to develop an intent, whether good or bad more than emotions.

Thus, all said, we need to control our emotions, not the emotions controlling us. Expressing your emotions brings no good. Anyway, no other person except your MOST trustworthy person should know how you feel. Emotions, thus, should always be contained within.

Letting somebody know your different aspects , your thinking and your mind doesn't bring any good.

Lastly, if you really feel all that filled up, then trust only ONE, trustworthy person.

Hiding you emotions is great strategy. If people do not know how you feel, they will find it hard to manipulate you. They won't know which buttons to push. Also, when you decide to go after them..., they won't see it coming.

Having said that, I am Hispanic. My sister is Herspanic ;) If you piss either one of us off..., you will know about it..., immediately. I hold back a little. My sister will rip you apart into little, tiny pieces.

Now, if I do decide to go after you, I want you to see me coming..., cause that's the last thing you'll see ;)

OK, OK..., that sounds like tough talk. The reality is that I'm an attention whore and so..., naturally..., I want you to see me coming at you ;)

Emotion should be expressed, to a point. Humans are very emotional, so we see it often, but there is no reason to yell and scream at the check out lady because she looked tired.

I think it is our right to express our emotions, even if it means hurting other people. You know, sometimes, you have to be a little harsh to some people in order for them to get your point. Just like in this debate site. Next, I think it is better to say the thing that you want, instead of regretting it one day. Things that are never said, are the ones that you end up regretting most in your life. I think you should take the chance, and the opportunity, if you have them. Never let it pass away.

I believe that a person should express emotion as long as it does not turn violent.
