Do you get more education from school or the real world?

School

Side Score: 16
VS.

The real world

Side Score: 19

School ensures that you have at least some contact with all of the different subjects/topics.

Fuck. Who keeps down voting all of my arguments? Like seriously, at least dispute me first. >:(

There you go.

I don't down-vote you; I just fancied a free point and you asked for a dispute.

Da school says many teachings for me to learn! Dey says too me how to count. Dey says too me how to write. Dey says too me how too read. Dey says too me how to praises da Dear Leader. All sorts of learnings!

Blatantly the institution specifically designed for education will deliver more education than the real world.

Side: School

It all depends on who is trying to learn, how good the education system is and what kind of world they're living in. Personally, I prefer to just go out into the world and acquire knowledge myself. Sure, I've had some great teachers, but most of aspects of our school system don't work for me, I'll take erudition over education any day. Seriously, in the real world I can study/learn whatever I want. I want to learn about the Morrissey? I get his autobiography! I want to learn how to do advanced geometry? There are guides for it! I want to research the effects of drugs on culture? I have the internet! It's so freeing to be able to choose what you learn and when you learn it.

No billionaire has ever graduated. No graduate student has ever found a job related to his course. And no IQ test has ever measured a persons intelligence. I guess you know what that means.

Schools are a good place to learn something, but not something useful.

It was only an exaggeration. When speaking of billionaires, I am only referring to people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Henry Sy.

All of which came from rags to riches

real world because you dont learn about how to live on the bread line or what its like to have to live on benefits where as at school they just teach you to belive that once you get qualifications you get a good job and it doesnt work like that

Side: The real world

If you also count personal research and study, the real world. Not counting it would be hard to call. It depends on what you consider "education".

In the real world you learn from experience which I find to be an easier way to learn. In the real world you learn how to do things effectively through trial and error but the way you learn depends on the person because for other people school might be easier.

I do find experience learning much easier. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Side: The real world

There are likely more things to see, learn, and experience in the "real world" than one could possibly encounter in their lifetime. More information and knowledge available than any single person could ever consume.

Schools offer a convenient way to disseminate small packages of information and experiences on a wide scale.

the real wold teaches you many things but you should be able to learn and understand ..the school teaches scientific things which are not necessary and, you can live without them but living in the real world not knowing the rules is hard :)

I believe so long as you are willing to learn, and you keep your eyes and ears open, so to speak, you will never stop learning. That said, you weigh the time you spend in school vs the time you spend everywhere else.
