It all depends on who is trying to learn, how good the education system is and what kind of world they're living in. Personally, I prefer to just go out into the world and acquire knowledge myself. Sure, I've had some great teachers, but most of aspects of our school system don't work for me, I'll take erudition over education any day. Seriously, in the real world I can study/learn whatever I want. I want to learn about the Morrissey? I get his autobiography! I want to learn how to do advanced geometry? There are guides for it! I want to research the effects of drugs on culture? I have the internet! It's so freeing to be able to choose what you learn and when you learn it. Side: The real world

No billionaire has ever graduated. No graduate student has ever found a job related to his course. And no IQ test has ever measured a persons intelligence. I guess you know what that means. Schools are a good place to learn something, but not something useful. Side: The real world

In the real world you learn from experience which I find to be an easier way to learn. In the real world you learn how to do things effectively through trial and error but the way you learn depends on the person because for other people school might be easier. Side: The real world

There are likely more things to see, learn, and experience in the "real world" than one could possibly encounter in their lifetime. More information and knowledge available than any single person could ever consume. Schools offer a convenient way to disseminate small packages of information and experiences on a wide scale.
