Do you know what cinco de Mayo is? Are you going to celebrate it? if so, how?
The Cinco de Mayo holiday commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on 5th May 1862. The Mexicans won one battle against the French and we celebrate that. Apparently the only army that is wrose than the French army is the Mexican army. :)

Well Cinco de Mayo celebrates Mexican independence. This was when the Mexicans defeated the much larger and better equiped French army at the town of Pueblo on May 5. And how did I celebrate? I took a 4 hour AP Spanish exam, only to have it run late and then rush over to my 3.5 hour AP Statistics exam. They waited for me and another student to get there, but still.... I had roughly 8 hours of exams today and I get to wake up tomorrow to take AP Calc BC in the morning! (FML) Side: Oh yeah baby

No, it's not Mexican independence. They just won a single battle that they were not expected to win. They lost the war a year later and the French took over for 5 more years after that. As far as your tests, hang in there. It's good training. You'll be a better person for it. It builds character. It'll put hair on your chest. At least that's what my sergeant always used to say and look at how I turned out ;) Side: Oh yeah baby

Well, since you already listed what exactly the holiday is, I know now! I wouldn't pulled up google and figured it out myself. I knew it was something Americans are retarded to be celebrating though. I mean, does it even make sense for non-Irish to celebrate St Pats Day? Not really. But this country looks for any excuse in the world to get beer, and lots of it. Otherwise, I won't be celebrating it... and i Just realized it's today. But I really should take advantage of the mexican food deals going on today... Side: Oh yeah baby
