Do you think Egypt's President Should Resign?
What is your opinion on President Hosni Mubarak? What do you think of his leadership and do you think he should resign from his presidential position?

Egypt's president should definitely resign. Additionally, the United States should endorse the rebels and an ElBaradei transitional government. An international body should be sent to oversee safe and fair elections to bring the real reform that was not possible under Mubarak's reign. It is important for the US to improve it's standing in the Middle East, and supporting a peaceful transition of power, from autocratic (if secular) regime to a democratically elected president. This is a new kind of revolution in the Middle East. It is led by the middle class, the students, and the business people, and is therefore unlikely Islamic fundamentalists would gain the majority. We have everything to lose (Egypt is a major Middle Eastern power and US ally) if we do not support the revolution. The same reasoning applies to other autocratic regimes. Side: Yes!
