Do you think that the media interferes too much in the lives of stars.

I'm suprised so many people said "no". Sure, the attention is part of becoming a star but that's because society allowed it to be that way. There are some people out there who want to act or sing, but don't necessarily want all the attention they receive outside of work. They're people just like us and they deserve their privacy. The media can focus on them during interviews or award shows, or while the star is working. If a star brings attention to themselves by getting arrested or acting strange, well that I can understand as news worthy, but following them around and invading their privacy... that's a bit much.

Someone should be able to be a successful actor, musician, etc, without needing to compromise their privacy. There's no reason why a complete lack of privacy needs to be part of the job description, since this has nothing to do with their work, and some of them are serious and passionate about their profession. For politicians it's different, because their character directly impacts their work. Actors' personal lives are different though, and the fascination with them is unwarranted nosiness that merely reflects the person's own lack of useful interests. It's truly lamentable that we should think a movie star's trip to the supermarket is worth reading about, much less photographing. Just think, some of these people have to put on sunglasses just to go to get their mail. It's ridiculous. Not only is it a gross invasion of privacy, it's also pathetic that people have nothing more interesting (much less important) to learn or think about.

Apparently, it is made a market. A lot is stupid and fake. But, some of it that is made public is required and needed.

Side: yes, they do....

But it comes with the territory. When someone becomes famous, their lives become the concern of others.

I do not care, at all, about the lives of celebrities. But is it enough to be "too much" at this point? No.

People either worship celebrities or scrutinize them. It's part of fame.

Side: no, they dont.....

In all, no, celebrities wanted the life of constant interference because that is what entails the life of a movie or television star. Love or Hate.

Well when you become a celebrity it's a given that you give away to a certain extent your privacy and if they don't want to deal with it then they should have though of another career.

Nope! Too freaking bad. There are plenty of big celebrities out there that we never hear anything about because they take the steps necessary to not be available to be harassed or photographed... they have money... avoid the press, it can be done and is all the time.

Hell most love the attention...and dress for it. When they are making public statements....about religion, politics..etc and use the media to platform their views....they deserve what they get.
