Moving on, many U.S. military grade weapons such as grenades and light anti-tank rockets are acquired by the cartels through the huge supply of arms left over from the wars in Central America and Asia. Also, (per the ATF) about one-eighth of the Mexican army deserts annually. Many of these deserters take their government-issued automatic rifles with them while leaving. They are then sold on the black market and smuggled into the USA.

Excon, I'm just pointing out that you use certain words as a defensive mechanism when you feel you've been put in a corner. It's rather obvious to me and the other posters on this forum. However, (unlike you) I did not RUN AWAY from the debate, instead I followed up with evidence that guns and weapons are indeed being brought in illegally over the border from Mexico.
I'd also like to discuss the "Fast And Furious" gun smuggling operation that was used under former Democratic Party president Obama with coordination of a highly compromised ATF under his administration. The shameless cover up was astonishing.

Regarding your pro baby murder stance. The chance of a woman dying during childbirth is .00007, so your excuse of "to save a woman's life "is moot. Your other argument "to save a woman economically" is weak considering there are many adoption opportunities. And just think of all of the VERY POOR raised children (ex; comedian/actor Eddie Murphy) that turned out to be HUGE success stories. Being raised in poverty doesn't mean you can't make it in life and should be thrown away.

I might not be able to travel
I might not be able to spend my money where I want
I might have to work where I'm told
I might have to vote for whom I'm told
I might have to live where I'm told
I might have to worship like I'm told
I might not be able to read what I want
I might not be able to see the movies I want
Of course, it might not change at all.. But, if it's not going to change, why are people so worked up about it?
They were pro second amendment until they started waving the Communist flag a few years back. And Communism can't exist within an armed populace. Up until about 5 or 6 years ago a liberal pretty much looked like a modern day Republican. Up until very recently the Democrat position on the border was to protect it, on abortion was legal but rare, their position on speech was free speech even speech you hate, and on guns they were in favor of the 2nd Amendment. Today they are none of those things.

Let's use leftist logic here. Armed civilians have saved childrens' lives. You're not anti children are you? Well you must be. You're against a guy having a gun after he saved childrens' lives with a gun. You are anti children.
Technically I don't think they want either. If they really cared about "saving the kids," they'd look into the issue of gun related homicide enough to know that gun control wouldn't make any meaningful difference in the number of children murdered each year. Having said that, I don't think the average liberal actually thinks of gun control as a means to control other people. The government might think of it that way, but not your average self-identified "liberal".
The people who support gun control do so because they're easily manipulated by whatever message they hear an authority figure tell them is just and moral.
