Does TV encourage stereotypes even on themselves?

Okay, so I've always been a bit sceptical about what's true and what's not in American films. I mean, do you really have those lockers about five foot tall? Do you sit near the bins if you're not cool? Or does Disney and Warner Bros etc make us think that?

Also, what do you think us Brits are like? Do you think we're all geeks who go around drinking tea, fish & chips at the ready, talking in really posh accents? Coz I mean, Harry Potter didn't help...!

Which is ironic because most of the american media is liberal... which is famously known for fighting against stereotypes.... hypocrites

But do you have those great big lockers? If you do, you're lucky! We only get a 1x2x3ft locker - teeny!

I'm in college.

I went to two high schools and the first one was closing down because there weren't enough people. We had big lockers there; but at the bigger school we had small lockers. I might add that they were both private schools.

Because stereotypes are far more noticeable to the public.
