I take the view that class sizes effect to academic achievement. I believe that small classes are better that large, and it's more comfortable to study in small classes. The first advantage of smaller class sizes is that teacher can work with every pupil individually, because teacher’s approach has a very big impact to academic achievement of pupil, especially to pupils who are in elementary schools.

Yes, you're absolutely right because teachers in these classes pay more attention to each pupil. As Lauren B. Resnick wrote in article “Class Size: Counting Students Can Count”: “Students in these classes experience continuing pressure to participate in learning activities and become better, more involved students”(2003, p.2). Children understand that they have to work more hardly because teachers control them better. That is why i believe that it will be better to study in the small sizes of class.

Yes class size effects on academic achievement, because when students are more than 20 people is would be difficult for teacher to control the students. Teacher will waste his/her time telling students to listen to him/her. When there are less than 20 students the quality of education will rise because all students can express their idea and teacher can work with each student individually.

Your example is only about you, and maybe it wasn't a problem only for you. When class is large there is too much noise, and it distract from studying. Also, when class size is small, it’s comfortable to divide pupils into groups and give them assignments to work. Teacher can pay attention to every group, because the size of class is small and nobody would be without teacher’s attention.

Absolutely. Students in these classes experience continuing pressure to participate in learning activities and become better, more involved students. According to the STAR project and other results of studies, in each grade level, starting from nursery school till the third grade, the small classes of 13 to 17 children in group have a positive influence on young people’s achievement.

I take the view that class sizes effect on academic achievement because firstly,in the small size class children work best because each of them has more time to class activities and freedom of creative special projects. Secondly, fewer children are less distracting to each other than a large group of students. Finally, teachers have moreversatility to use different teaching approaches.

But imagine large class with one instructor. Such situation in my country, and it's impossible to work with so many pupils in class and control them.

Even in Asia it’s normal to study in large classes, it’s better to make class sizes smaller. In mall size classes it’s easier to work for teacher, to study for pupil and of course nobody will be without teacher’s attention.

Such situation only in China, we can't say that in whole Asia large classes with good academic achievement.

In my opinion class size does not effect on academic achievement, because at first everything depend on student. If he /she understand the material well then the achievement will be good.

I think example with China it's not the best one. Why? because the number of population there it's too high and they just have to study in a big class sizes. What about others, i think it's much better to study in small classes, and there are some benefits like: more attention from teacher, less competition and many other.

i think if really effect... because if there are not so many pupils in class, teacher can work with every pupil and give more knowledge...

I envision two different classes: one in which there are about ten students, and the other in which there are a hundred, with one teacher teaching each class. In the former, the teacher may address each student's problems with a one-on-one approach, whereas, in the latter, maybe only five students shall get the help they need to find success. Unless it is a class full of geniuses and they've the best teacher on the planet, I must vote yet, class size does prove influential in individual students' academic achievements.

I think, that class size influence on the performance of students, because there are a lot of situation when students are not participating at study or class work, because of a lot of students. Also, because of a big class size, when student is ready for classwork, but doesn't have an opportunity to participate because of class is large. So, the increased number of students can negatively effect on subject learning, because many students have questions about the lecture, and teacher can not physically answer all the questions asked. Moreover, it is difficult to observe and monitor large class during the examination, this gives students an opportunity for cheating and plagiarism during a quiz!

i believe that size of class influences on academic achievement, for example:

1. A lot of people make a lot of noise - as you know noise breaks the concentration of attention.

2. a small class gives the opportunity for every student to participate in discussion .

3. If Teacher (instructor)has many people in the class he/she is not able to pay attention and explain the new information for each student.

I believe that small classes influence on academic achievement and students’ level of the knowledge improves. The first reason is that teachers in these classes pay more attention to every pupil. Children understand that they have to work more hardly because teachers control them better. Also because of the pedagogue’s big attention on students in the small size class children work better, each of them has more time to class activities and freedom of creative own projects.

The second reason is that discipline is better. It means that young people are less disturbed during the lessons and they can concentrate their attention on study. It makes class atmosphere better and peaceful. Also “teachers have more time to teach” .Pedagogues do not spend more time to discipline and that is why they have more opportunity to use different ways and types of teaching. Children begin to be interested in studying, which often good effect on children’s level of the knowledge .You can see that because of reduction number of students in class, discipline becomes better and, of course, it improves academic achievement of these pupils.

I haven't seen studies on this, it is an interesting question. As a former student and current teacher, I definitely think there is a correlation between class sizes and quality of education. Personally, I find as a teacher I can be more personal with my students when they are few, everyone gets to speak at least once in every class - that is very important, to have time for everyone. Not just in the matter of participation in the teaching process, but certainly also the development of a teacher-student relation.

Nowadays many students have to combine study with work, spending less time with their families and friends. That is why many of them definitively suffer from lack of time for writing a term papers, question-answer tests, research papers or essays https://primeessay.org/questions-answers-service.html

This question is very dependable on the student. If you rely heavily on the one on one time in class then it would affect your acheivment. If not, then it won't.

Yes, OK, but academic achievement depends on conditions of formation too. Every grade level, nursery school to third grade, where the small classes of 13 to 17 children have a positive influence on young people’s grades.

I do not think that is right. I take the view that it is better to study in the small size-class for young people. After many researches and analyzes experts found out that it helps students to improve their academic achievement and to be better and active during the lessons. Forexample, in 1978, Smith and Glass found that classes with the few students had higher academic achievement during all grade levels, “especially if students were in the small classes for more than 100 hours, and if student assignment was carefully controlled. They found that the major benefits of reducing class size occurred where the number of students in the class was fewer than 20”

Maybe, but I think it depends on pupil. If pupil wants to study, he/she will, but if he/she doesn't want, he/she won't. I studied in large class, where were 35 pupils and I haven't had any problems.

In China, there are large classes with two instructors. And they don't have any problems with teaching, with noise, behavior, and they work so good.

But if consider Asian system of education, Asian class sizes, children do so well in very large classes. According to a specialist Lewis, in Asia, there are about 40 pupils in class and it’s not hard to work with them. But of course, Asian children’s discipline is strong and legendary than in Western countries. Also, Asian pupils spend more time to study. They spend 40 days more than in United States.

Yes, I think that the size of the class influences what progress students achieve. Still, I judge so from my personal experience. At school, the number of students in the class has a powerful influence on the learning process, since many students do not yet have the concept of motivation. Many students choose best sites for writing help reading reviews because they do not want to study. Students use not only essay writing services but also other educational resources. But at the university, this problem seems to be much less, since students motivate themselves and if they want to get knowledge, then it doesn’t matter what number of other students are in the audience.
