Does the 14th Amendment mention marriage as the Leftist claim ?
The states invented the marriage license as a way to dictate who could and could not get married for the purpose of making sure blacks, whites, Asians and Indians didn’t mix. Now why would the LGBTQ want to signup for something that is rooted in racism when they have railed against it for at least 8 years ? Now my question for you gay people is this: If this is what you won did you really win? Really? What I see that you won is to be able to claim the government can now have dominion over your marriage just like it does of straight peoples’ marriages. If you are really looking for equality might I suggest joining in the fight to abolish the marriage license? Look at it this way, by what right does the government have the right to approve or deny who we want to form a life with? A license is permission ? Do you really need permission to love someone enough to spend your life with them? 1

It doesn't have to, the obvious intent is there, as has been supported by the SCOTUS. The second amendment mentions a "well regulated militia", which, to MY mind, denotes the National Guard, not a random "posse" of government haters, but, we have to again go by the SCOTUS. Not everyone can have their way EVERY TIME in a democracy, whether leftist or rightist! It doesn't HAVE to mention marriage, it mentions "Persons" and "Equal rights" and that no persons equal rights (liberties) can be taken away. I know of no American "gays" that are not "persons with equal rights"! Where in the 14th Amendment does it say they are not??. It is only a "rightist claim" that they don't have equal rights! As a Law Professor once said: "Senator, When you took the oath of office you placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. You did NOT place your hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible!" I'm sorry your Bible does not agree with the Constitution ... or you don't like its wording, but, that's the way it is in 2016/BT. If it is changed we will no longer have a free country. |
