Does wanting a traditional family, make you a sexist?
It is currently looked down upon for a woman to want to be a stay at home mom. Men are also attacked for wanting a woman that will stay home. If both people consent to this, why is it wrong?
Of course it does!

In today's understanding and definition and use of the word sexist... yes, it would be. However if you are smart you'd know that a womans place belongs in the kitchen PART-TIME. The other part-time is a part-time job seeing as they've got dishwashers, washing machines etc. to do most of the work for them these days :) Side: Thats ridiculous!

It certainly does not make you sexist! The job of running and maintaining a household is every bit as taxing, if not more so, than working a full time job. Dad's day ends at 5:00PM whereas Mom's job goes on from early morning to lights out! How can realizing the importance of this make one sexist...unless the role is forced upon the woman? It's absolutely not sexist, but I have a couple of friends who dream of having a family and a golden retriever and the white picket fence and all, but I can't help but feel that it's kind of a sad dream. To me, there is so much more to life than that; to me, that's not the slightest bit desirable. Side: Thats ridiculous!
