Doesn't abolish the police just mean real bullets rather than rubber ones?

Rubber bullets, or baton rounds are more lethal than tasers.

The best reform would be to arm patrol/beat cops with tasers and have highly trained armed officers on constant standby.

Constant standby to do what, return fire for them?

For a full explanation for dummies check out how the British Police enforce the law with unarmed officers who can rely on back up from the highly trained 'armed rapid response units when required.

The British approach ensures that trigger happy, gung-ho cops don't get the opportunity to shoot unarmed escaping suspects in the back.

When it is necessary to call upon the services of specialized police marksmen in Britain most incidents end without death.

Didn't you know, if someone, and that includes cops as well as suspected criminals, pulls a weapon, knife or gun in the 'heat of the moment' they'll almost certainly use it.

Yes, but the left never thinks more than one step ahead. That's why they bounce around like a ping pong ball on almost every single issue and begin sounding like Conservatives only after the nonsense the right told them about starts happening in real life.

Right wingers imagine what will happen at steps 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. Left wingers think of how it makes them feel right now, and right now they feel icky, thus? They need the steps 2,3,4,5 kicks in the nuts to think like rational human beings...

For a minute...
