I have kind of mixed feelings about energy drinks, yes it has bad effects on health, but imagine if a student is tired after classes and he/she has a paper due tomorrow, So what can he/she do in this situation? drink energy drink and do his/her homework or don't drink it and get a zero??? Side: it gives you energy
Depends on what you mean by 'should'. Is this a question over the legality of consumption of Energy drinks, or over the healthiness of Energy drinks? I think we can all agree that energy drinks are not healthy for you even in small quantities, but I do not think this would merit the prohibition of Energy Drinks. They are bad for you but so are a lot of other legal substances. Ultimately it is up to the individual to decide what goes in their own body. Not Government. Side: Personal Choice
Yes, it can hurt your health. But I don't care. It gives me energy. Normal soft drinks aren't enough. I don't have very high stamina. If I go without caffeine at all, I'll be too tired to move (sometimes, to the point I feel numb or dizzy). And really, energy drinks do me more help than harm. I'm not saying that they're good for YOU (unless they are...), but I can have energy drinks regularly and not have health problems from those. Besides, what is supposedly healthy isn't always good for me. Juice gives me stomach problems. And too much water will make me vomit. Side: it gives you energy
Well, I guess it depends on body, if your organizm is got used to consuming drinks with caffeine probably it is not hurting you now, but eventully you will have health problems from consuming it too much((((( People who are not usually consuming drinks with caffeine will face immediate adverse effects of it..... It can harm your health because when you drink a energy drink you can crash later on during the day. Also this one guy he drank a monster energy drink and once he got to the very last of it there was a rat tail at the end of the drink and the guy puked the energy drink out and reported it to Monster drink. Thats why I don't drink energy drinks and also if you need energy why don't you eat apples because apples give you a lot of protein or eat a lot of peanut butter or eggs to keep you from having to drink it. I agree that the harmful content of energy drinks don't stop most people from drinking us, mainly because they actually don't know/remeber it is bad. I think it should be a mandatory to advertise and write that containing energy drinks is harmful to ones health, like it says on cigarettes. Side: it can harm our health
I think that energy drinks are very helpful and give us energy or something like this. However, after some times they take it back with percents. Also it very dangerous for the health and consist of some substance which can follow addiction. So.... Side: it can harm our health
A variety of physiological and psychological effects have been attributed to energy drinks and their ingredients. Two studies reported significant improvements in mental and cognitive performances as well as increased subjective alertness. Excess consumption of energy drinks may induce mild to moderate euphoria primarily caused by stimulant properties of caffeine and may also induce agitation, anxiety, irritability and insomnia. During repeated cycling tests in young healthy adults an energy drink significantly increased upper body muscle endurance. It has been suggested that reversal of caffeine withdrawal is a major component of the effects of caffeine on mood and performance. Side: it can harm our health
Restorative properties were shown by a combination of caffeine and the sugar glucose in an energy drink, and some degree of synergy between the cognition-modulating effects of glucose and caffeine was also suggested. In one experiment, a glucose-based energy drink (containing caffeine, taurine and glucuronolactone) was given to eleven tired participants being tested in a driving simulator. Lane drifting and reaction times were measured for two hours post-treatment and showed significant improvement. Side: it can harm our health
