If we don't support euthanasia, then we basically label death as something unacceptable or against our values. However, at the same time, we send young and healthy people off to war (I've got nothing against war sometimes it's necessary) with a good chance of death. People who want euthanasia usually have good reason, especially in physically debilitating cases, and should not be denied what we hand out freely to so many. Side: Pro

A 7 year old is a minor, the parents - or legal guardian - will always have the rights towards medical treatment so in that scenario it wouldn't work. I agree with it in certain aspects. When a persons quality of life goes into decline due to an non-treatable disease or advanced age, basically to the point where medicine is the main thing keeping them functioning, and they wish to just die in peace, then it should be allowed. I watched my grandfather waste away, they did everything to keep him alive against his wishes and in the end he died in pain, his life extended at a terrible cost. No one should have to go through that. Side: Con

Does the law only apply to terminally ill people? If not, what are the demands we need to require for a person to be eligible to die with dignity? Do mental illnesses count? If so, what about Schizophrenia, which is a disorder where the person can lose his sanity? And what about depression and other disorder that are curable, but make people suicidal? Should we obey their illnesses and let them “die with dignity”?. Side: Con
