CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.
To learn more about the CreateDebate scoring system, check out the FAQ.
When you are ready to voice your opinion, use the Add Argument button to create an argument.
If you would like to address an existing argument, use the Support and Dispute link within that argument to create a new reply.
Science and religion are exact opposites. Religion is about beliefs and faith, and unquestioning adherence to doctrine. Science is about facts, open speculation, and questioning things.

I agree. Scientists conduct experiments and then look for conclusions. Zealots make conclusions then look for evidence to support them.
The vast majority of Muslims in the United Kingdom live in England: 2,660,116 (5.02% of the population). 76,737 Muslims live in Scotland (1.45%), 45,950 in Wales (1.50%), and 3,832 in Northern Ireland (0.21%).
Islam is the second largest religion in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with results from the United Kingdom 2011 Census giving the UK Muslim population in 2011 as 2,786,635, 4.4% of the total population. London has the greatest population of Muslims in the country.

Like a dystopian world vision where there is no ownership of property and everyone acts like mindless zombies who are programmed to not say trigger words and refer to people by their preffered gender pronoun, and are subject to a beautiful, allmighty, honest government that will kill you if you dissent or don't like their wait in line for a month for rationed healthcare system.
Or the vision that Muslims will ignore the Quran and not try to intentionally overpower the civilizations they move into and force them into conversion.
I agree also. Religion CAN coexist with science. For years it has existed … with dwindling numbers, simply because some can't envision death as similar to before they were born. They simply MUST have something to look forward to. Eventually the numbers will drop to a few cults and then, maybe, we can stop killing each other to defend one god or another.
Science WILL eventually show where we came from, how the universe "happened", and that the concept of heaven and hell just doesn't make sense. Still, there will be those who just can't face reality. IMO, of course.

What you in the UK going to do about the Muslims ?
What are you going to do about an education? You are too old for school. You missed your opportunity to be smart, and now you've got to live with the consequences.
Somewhere a little violin plays sad songs for you.

Red herring fallacy. You never answered the easy question you were asked. It was a simple question.
Red herring is a kind of fallacy that is an irrelevant topic introduced in an argument to divert the attention of listeners or readers from the original issue.
Science is very confusing to the Left and why because they have a problem with 2 genders ! Leftist have a struggle trying to figure out that man is born a man and woman is born a woman !
How dare you, you are pathetic. you're walking on the graves of our ancestors who believed in the idea of faith and the idea of eternal happiness, get you're shit together you fucking useless sack of demeaning shit.
Just saying they are opposites doesn't mean anything. Things that are opposite can coexist. And when it comes to science, there have been many scientific things that have been disproved or revised, so the narrative of science being true is somewhat debatable. Besides science ,for the most part, has a lot of theories that can't be completely proved by it's own method. So, some people just believe without evidence. Kind of like religion. :)
That's complete BS, just because someone believes that science is real (only idiots think it isnt) doesn't make them not believe the idea of a higher power. for example the renaissance, a time of innovation and realism, most people think that greats such as da vinci or brunelleschi were atheist because of their ideas, brunelleschi was deemed crazy because of his building "method", in reality they believed in god, just because someone believes science doesn't mean that they are deniers of divine powers.
the narrative of science being true is somewhat debatable.
Are you seriously attempting to defend religion on the grounds that science is not true?
Lol. Science boasts the best record for ascertaining truth of all the systems and methodologies ever invented by mankind, and this most definitely includes religion.
What I mean is that science is not perfectly true. I'm not saying science is not true at all. Science relies heavily on human observation. Human observation is flawed. So, science ,by nature, has some flaws. Plus, in the scientific community some things treated as fact are debated. Does it boast the best record? Yes. Is it absolutely true and perfect? No.
