Farting in a crowded room- Own it, or deny it?

If you are in a crowded elevator or in a room full of people and fart, do you have a moral obligation to take credit for it, or do you allow the "cloud of suspicion" hang over everyone? The assumption here is that it was an SBD (silent but deadly) and not a trucker's mating call, you know, ones that rattles walls. Obviously, with the former, no one knows, the later, there is no doubt. Do you have the duty to warn those around you or do you let them perish?  Do you take credit for it, or do you take the 5th?

That's nice. Do you own your criminal record for raping kids also, or are you a bit more hush hush about that?
