Floating farms? Yay or nay?

"This next design is an innovative and new approach to traditional farming. It is an amazing solar powered floating island which is covered with several farms and was created by Forward Thinking Architecture. The floating islands work in a very energy efficient way, harvesting sunlight and rainwater, this way creating a sustainable environment. These floating farms can produce even 20 tons of vegetables daily. The great advantage of this invention is that such farms can be built all around the world, even in places that are hardly accessible or not suitable for farming. This will encourage locals to grow their own food and reduce the amount of imported goods, saving money and giving birth to lots of new jobs."

I love technology. I hate leftists trying to tell us stop using our best resources technologically. Why are you trying to bring us to the 1700s during the pre oil days?

One good storm would wipe out that facility with a few huge waves.

Is it tsunami proof?

I dunno. Libs probably built it expecting the ocean to respect its safe space.

The company is located in Barcelona, a city primarily made up of conservative Catholics. How is that "Libs"?

It's a neat idea but there are a few things I would be concerned about. The first is easily wave and wind activity, the second would be salt water touching crops and burning them (it would most likely need to be enclosed or it couldn't be on a body of salt water), the cost of maintaining it including if farmers would live on the structure itself....

I think it'd be easier to renovate a building and grow vertically with an hydroponic system and if they really want to get fancy a aquaponic system.

Leftists in power don't want the solution. They want the issue. That's why if you mention nuclear, they disappear, wait for you to leave, then go back to demonizing and prosthelytizing in your absence.
