AI would prefer football because football is more of a challenge and you need more skills basketball yea you need skills but what just shooting a ball in a hoop that doesn't take much athleticism or skill actually but in football you need to be in shape athletic and not to mention you have all the pads and everything. I mean when have you seen a three hundred pound Man Run just as good as a one hundred eighty pound man in basketball

In my point of view, football is the most interesting sport in the world. I think, today more than half of the people interested in football and half of them play. There are several reasons why most of people interested in this kind of sport. Firstly, football it isn't just game it is like an art, where people not only run with the ball, but also they show feints with the ball, team playing and beautiful goals. Secondly, it is champions league. I think, it is the best championship in the world. There is no better feelings than when you are watching champion's league games, because this tournament has everything: emotions, intrigue and tears. I think thats why football is the best game in the world.

Football is better in many aspects. It is much more better to watch, and if you get some people together it is very fun. It requires you to do much more. Also, basketball can be more annoying.

Totally, I agree. Watching men running with a ball trying to not get raped is entertaining. That's like the hunger games. So here's my aspect on football. First to get ready you must practice stamina, catching, throwing, and tackling. Stamina to run from the 11 people trying to throw you down on the ground, Catching to catch a football so you can run from 11 people, Throwing to get rid of the ball so you don't get chased by 11 men to the touchdown, Tackling to throw people down and release aggression. Sounds a lot like the hunger games to me.

W O W. That was extremely stupid. If you talk like that you can make anything sound stupid.

Basketball is a bunch of people running around trying to fling a ball in a hoop. Then they go crazy and flop around when someone just barely touches them.

^

I know monkeys that can do that.

In both you are scoring all the time, however, I would argue American Football is better, as the best players in basket ball are genrally the tall ones.

I don't play either, but I find football much more interesting to watch. I understand both sports include athleticism and strategy, although football seems to require a little more planning, scoring is more exciting, etc. Also, I like how football is weighted- the points in a game and games in a season, and there's no series of games in playoffs.

Most of the population in India love cricket, but I'm here to tell you otherwise, it's football. Its the best game in the world. Football is a game which was founded in England and is now played in all of the continents of the world, except Antarctica.

Football is a game which comprises of two teams which have 11 players each. Each team can have a maximum of six substitutes, from which only three are allowed to be substited. It is played for 90 minutes. These 90 minutes are divided into two halfs of 45 minutes each. A break of 15 minutes is given at the half called half time break.

Both football and basketball are popular sports that have their unique characteristics. Football is known for its physicality and strategy, while basketball is known for its fast-paced action and high-scoring games. I perfer basketball over football. For starters basketball takes skill and practice. Yeah football takes practice and skill but to what extent? For bqsketball you need to practice dribbling, shooting, passing, and crossing people over. And for football all you need is muscle, stamina catching and throwing.

I think you forgot some skills. Flopping, intentional fouling, complaining to the refs, and how to take a foul.

First of all i know people who are like twigs but still play i know dwarvs that can probably hit harder than you but everyone knows this ONLY THE QB NEEDS TO THROW THE BALL

Side: Football

I prefer basketball because in football you have more chance of injury due to the fact people hit hard in football. Basketball is a lot more competitive and it takes skill because you have to practice constantly if you want to be really good. Football is easy anybody could easily play football.

basketball is better than football because with football you are JUST kicking a ball and trying to score in a net plus there are always fights between certain teams and the reasons are totally STUPIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Differentiating both the sports on the following basis:

Field size- Small in case for basketball hence the ball needs to be passed quickly. Also, the time to communicate with other players is less that's why basketball asks for more coordination between players than football as the ball cannot be held with one player for too long.

Shooting - Doesn't happen when one is good in running; tactics and techniques are to be used. It's more of a mind game when man-to-man is played (which is of course the essential). In football, you win if you run good and strike well.

A single player can score high and win the match, take Messi for example; but in basketball, all players need to be very good equally since "passing" the ball is an important aspect.

Roles- change. You are both in offense and defense, which is decided by a split second of which team has taken the ball. You are the controller and in a split second, you also are the shooter. In a split second , you are now the defender. Football has more of specific roles: midfielders, goal keeper, striker and defenders.

Formation- NECESSARY. In fact, essential of all.

Coordination goes hand in hand with this. A winning team isn't the one which is good in running or striking, it's the one which has the best man to man formation no matter who is running, defending, controlling, or shooting.

Time- very quick. Quicker than football because again small court, 10 players. The game doesn't stop at all, there's no time to breathe whether you have the ball or not, it's continuous and very fast-paced, everyone has to run.

Football, well you get enough time to adjust or communicate or run or see if you don't have to run anymore because it's not your area since you are the midfielder.

Football - 7140 sq meters and 22 players =

324.55sq meter per player

Basketball - 436.644 sq meters and 10 players =

43.66sq meter per player

Difference: 280.99sq meter enough for 6.44 more basketball players

Game- more of a who knows how to pass

Football is more of who knows how to strike

Conclusion-

I think that basketball has technique.

It has no pattern but only a rough idea of how the ball needs to be "handled" rather than to just "put it" in the basket.

Taking laps, dribbling while running, tapping, assisting, controlling, passing, shooting; all happen along with the other 9 players present in the court.

Imagine the hustle of "keeping" the ball with one self while combining all these actions altogether.

Not only does one need individual tactics but also a group combination with a perfect learnt formation for the ball to "move on" from one player to another as keeping the ball with oneself for a longer duration is tough.

In a split second, the ball is snatched/stolen/passed/thrown/shot confusing the player of taking a perfect note for whether they have to play in the offense or the defense!
