Forget the current candidates, who do you REALLY want to be President of the USA?

I'm not lock-step with anyone, but I like the fact that Trump is a disrupter and is riling up the powers that be; the status quo, the establishment. This is something we need. I like his business background and the fact he's someone who knows budgeting and costs and would be a good steward of OUR resources. I also like that he's kicked political correctness to the curb and is talking about issues no one wants to bring up.. just to name a few things. 3

ut I like the fact that Trump is a disrupter and is riling up the powers that be; the status quo, the establishment I've asked you about this multiple times and you've never responded: Why do you only like him for that? Sanders fills that role as well, and yet you haven't ever applauded him for this. I like his business background It's not a particularly successful one by the standards of his peers, as we have previously discussed, so why support this? I like his business background and the fact he's someone who knows budgeting and costs and would be a good steward of OUR resources. Except he has been terrible at those, which is why his company has had so many failed enterprises and has filed for bankruptcy multiple times. Our country doesn't get to file bankruptcy when one of Trump's grand ideas goes awry. I also like that he's kicked political correctness to the curb and is talking about issues no one wants to bring up You mean like insulting his fellow candidate's wives? Talking about penis size on a national stage? Jokingly deriding a woman's period on national TV? That isn't being "anti-PC". That's being a child. It is one thing to applaud people being "anti-PC". It's another to support someone who is incapable of acting presidential, and who essentially calls for violence at the thought of not getting his way. 1

Ah, the nattering nabobs of negativism; when will you ever give it a rest? Bernie "got your free stuff, right here" Sanders is just a continuation of liberalism/progressivism, not a disruption. You want to be like Europe, don't you? Vote Bernie and get all the free stuff you dream of. (while other people's money last) lol 0

This depresses me. I envy the Bernie supporters who actually believe they know the answers and have a candidate they believe would give them what they want. For me, I don't have anyone outside of economists that I agree with. The few politicians I actually respect I largely disagree with. I am fairly certain I will never have a candidate I believe in enough to vote for. I do, however, have candidates I am more than happy to campaign against. So down with revolutionaries and autocrats! No to Bernie and no to Trump! 1

Except Bernie really isn't a revolutionary. Honestly, forget the majority of his policies and focus on the primary one: Campaign finance reform. If he can accomplish that and that alone, then he has done his job. At that point I'd be fine with him being replaced after 4 years, since the majority of his platform wouldn't be implemented anyway (even though he has more of a history with bi-patrisan politics than Hillary does). |
