I think the Frankin push out is a calculated move by the Dems and all about Roy Moore. They "took care of their guy, so why don't you take care of yours?" Of course they know fully well that Frankin's departure still leaves them with a Dem in that replaced spot, where Moore leaving would probably give them another Dem in office. And it's rather crafty that Frankin didn't say "I'm resigning today" but rather "I'll be resigning in a few weeks". I figure they are baiting and watching to see what the right does. It has nothing to do with moral outrage or angst for Frankin. I think he's simply a pawn. My only real question is whether Frankin is in on the game or simply a casualty of war. Side: Total Sumbitch

I'm not defending Frankin. I just don't find him any more onerous than all the other creeps getting caught. With that said, why in a society supposedly as advanced as the USA do we keep electing entertainers to set laws? Actors, comedians, wrestlers... Are they really nore qualified than all the other candidates running? Hey, if you put a B grade comedian into Congress don't you kind of expect he already has something in his past which someday will bite him in the @ss? Next up, Bill Murray for President! Hopefully he can reshape our military just like he did in Stripes! Side: Swell Guy

With that said, why in a society supposedly as advanced as the USA do we keep electing entertainers to set laws? Because America is only advanced in terms of its military technology. In terms of its political and social culture it is still about 150 years behind the rest of the developed world. Actors, comedians, wrestlers... Are they really nore qualified than all the other candidates running? It's indicative of America's frightening problem with celebrity culture. Side: Total Sumbitch
