Excon, Disney officials certainly have the right to free speech and the people of Florida have the right to have their voices heard. Governor DeSantis and the elected Florida legislature members represent their voices. It's been easily determined (63-38 vote) that Disney is a leftist "woke" political entity and does not represent the views of the people of Florida. Therefore, since Disney clearly crossed the line with their efforts to topple legislative business (speaking loudly against the supposed "Don't Say Gay") law which by the way doesn't even mention the word "Gay" once, Disney now pays the price. They never deserved to keep self governance status (given to them over 50 years ago) and now they have been stripped of that privilege to the approval and applause of the people of Florida. Like all corporation board members the responsibility of Disney's directors is to generate growth and maximise profit/dividends for the shareholders but not to advance the creed of some trendy here-today-gone-tomorrow crackpot political organization. The introduction of politics, especially the madcap ideology of the freak woke brigade has no place in the decision making chambers of corporations. Such nonsense in the boardroom will, as is the case in the disorientated, astray directors of Disney , dramatically reduce revenue/profits. Everyone has the right to free speech and should be free to promote their political and/or religious tenets, but such personal entitlements must be left at the door of the boardroom.
