I will narrow it down to three choices: If Russia isn't involved... I want to go to the middle of Siberia. If the US isn't involved,,, then northern Alberta, Canada. And if the US and Russia are going at each other... then Bora Bora in the south Pacific.

I can assure you if nuclear war breaks out the US will be involved, i can't even fathom a scenario within which the US would not be involved.

Gary... get a grip! This is just a hypothetical situation. It could very easily be Pakistan and India exchanging nukes.

Right where the first one lands. You are going to be killed anyway (one way or another; radiation). I want to go out without suffering.

You do realize that dying from radioactive fallout is perfectly avoidable if you stay out of the path of propagation of that fallout... right? But if you really want to, sure, commit suicide based on a misunderstanding of how nuclear weapons work.

I'd be on a nice isolated island out of the primary jet stream from the major impact sites... with lots of fishing gear and gardening equipment. Tristan da Cunha probably.

If a full scale Nuclear War erupts, there will be no excape.

Can I say the Bermuda Triangle?

If not I'm getting a one-way ticket to the Space Station.

in Australia.

we are the furthest from all known nuclear countries and their arsenals.

4 miles under ground in a bunker with plenty of food. Somewhere like Antarctica, that's almost devoid of human life. No reason to nuke Antarctica.

Side: Bunker in Antarctica

I would want to be in moon in a lead bunker, 10 mile under ground.

I would choose the very bottom of Baja Mexico. It gives you nearly a 1,000 mile buffer zone between you and the expected blast zones in the United States and its nuclear allies in the Western Hemisphere.

I would also have a bunker that has approximately two feet thick of ultra high dense concrete (The type that is used in bank vaults). That would be for gamma radiation.

At my home outside flat on my front lawn. I will feel O.K. there. I won't have to worry about the consequences from nuclear war.
