Giving Up Christianity
If you give up Christianity after being a christian for several years, would you still be considered a Christian by God's Law. According to the Bible, once you are saved, in God's eyes you are forever sealed as a Christian. If you give up Christianity, then you should no longer believe this is true, so would it still apply therefore keeping your status as a Christian?

The Bible does say "once saved, always saved." However, this is a bit misleading since its really "perseverance of the saints" and it revolves around people who were actually Christians. As Jeremiah 17:9 says, our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked and not capable of understanding except from God. If you can't even judge yourself as to whether you are a Christian or not, then why do you think that you judge whether you lost your faith or not? As in the Matthew 7, people will cry "Lord, Lord" yet not be saved for Christ did not know them. And in James 2, it clearly lays out that "faith" as in knowledge based is not saving faith; for even the demons believed in God. Instead, you must have a trust in God's grace, even though you are completely wicked and totally deprived of all goodness and can't even willingly choose God and etc, to be saved. And what are the signs of a true Christian? Romans 12 displays this and so do a large portion of Christ's parable and so does James 2 along with Ephesians 2: a true Christian will produce good works as a result of faith. Therefore, no one can turn from God, but the one's who do never did; for they had produced a sense of false faith that even they could not understand. Side: No Longer Christian
