God Loves You

John 3:16-21    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 15:13)   Greater love hath no man that this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.   (John 1:10-12)   He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew him not.  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.(Revelation 3:20 , Jesus says to all ) Behold, I stand at the door and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  (Romans 5:7-8)    For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

It's common for people who don't believe in Jesus to think that because of all the wrong things that they have done in their life, but Jesus loves everyone regardless of what we've done and will accept us if we come near to Him. That's what I love about God's amazing grace.

It is indeed sad, Mr. Saint.

And for the life of me, I cannot fathom why he lets me, a rabid atheist and sinner, to exist outside of Hell!

I cannot help but think that the reason is, well, he simply doeesn't have the sack--or the juice--to banish me to the fiery depths.

Or maybe I am not in Hell because he doesn't exist? This would seem to make a lot more sense.

The other day at a local bookstore I grabbed a bible from the Religious section and put it in the "Mythology" section, next to a tome on Greek Mythos.

You know, where it rightfully belongs?

Guess what. Yahweh did nothing.

Zip.

Zilch.

But ol' Luce? I could hear Him chuckling in the background.

Anyone else find that really stupid if Jesus IS God? He gave himself knowing that he would live forever after dying and could have forgiven all our sins without doing that at all. Can anyone say B U L L S H I T?

God is not good if He does not punish sin, your sin must be punished or God is not just, He is not good, He is not caring, He is not fair. The punishment of sin is separation from God, and He has no place for sin except in the fire of Hell. If He were to let you go unpunished, the He would be denying His own righteousness. If he were to let you out of existence to end your suffering, He would be denying His own goodness in creating you to start with.

God Himself took on the form of a man to pay man's price so the debt you owe God for your time of sin can be pardoned based on the fact that it has been paid for in full by the only One who can pay in full. You can never pay enough because no matter how long you are in Hell you will still be a sinner. You need to believe on Jesus in His resurrection, thank God that He died for your sins, and ask God in Jesus' name to save you from Hell before your dying is finalized at the end of the countdown of your time for which you owe God a full account, an account you can never settle because you cannot undo your sin and you can't stop being a sinner.

You had your shot here, you foul mouth monkey, and I have tried repeatedly to get you to see that God loves you. You become more and more rabid in your monkey-devil antics and like High Pollution and Fartman, I really don't want you in my discussions. The best I can hope for is that somebody with a heart open to believing God loves them will find something good from God in my response to idiots like you who believe God is supposed to be stupid and let you off the hook automatically.

God may love me, but what about his son? God created the rules of the universe, so he was the one that decided he would send his only, perfect son down to Earth. Assuming this is true of course, he did spread many good teachings and performed a variety of miracles.

However, if God created the universe and all the laws they follow, as well as assuming that he is omnipotent and omniscient, then he also created the law that bloodshed is the price for sin, and he also created sin. He knowingly created Adam and Eve in a way that they would eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and then punished them for it, why? If God is omniscient and created Adam and Eve, then they have no free will.

Based on the same initial premises, God forced Jesus to die at the cross as punishment for our sins- but it didn't have to be that way. While I would feel bad for Jesus (with the premise that assumes that his crucifixion was real), Jesus should be the one angry at God. God created universal laws so that Jesus would have to suffer and die- however, God also could've created universal laws in a way so that Jesus would not have to suffer. God had the choice of letting Jesus suffer or not, yet he chose the suffering of his son. We would call this child abuse in another case, but instead we should thank God?

If God created all, he created suffering. Even if you claim that humans ourselves caused suffering, God still created us, and if so, created us in a knowing way that we would suffer.

If anyone else had the power to suffer yet refused to act on it unless people served them, they would be called a tyrant and a dictator. If you have the power to cure suffering, you're expected to use it.

On the other hand, if you assume that God did not create suffering and cannot control it, then he is not omnipotent. If you assume that we have free will and a future that is not predetermined, then God cannot know it, and he is not omniscient.

You dont understand it. You need to seek to find. You need to desire understanding and He will give it.

It is revealed by Him. No scholars can read it, and no simpleton can read it. It is a book that needs both the book and the supplements to read it.

The book by itself is closed. The Spirit by Himself always shows in accordance with the Word.

God put in checks and balances to keep us securely on the narrow way. And to keep us from detours of false prophets, and to correct our way when we make a wrong turn.

Psalm 119:105

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Isaiah 29

9 Be delayed and wait,

Blind yourselves and be blind;

They become drunk, but not with wine,

They stagger, but not with strong drink.

10 For the Lord has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep,

He has shut your eyes, the prophets;

And He has covered your heads, the seers.

11 The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” 12 Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I cannot read.”

13 Then the Lord said,

“Because this people draw near with their words

And honor Me with their lip service,

But they remove their hearts far from Me,

And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote,

14 Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous;

And the wisdom of their wise men will perish,

And the discernment of their discerning men will be concealed.”

15 Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the Lord,

And whose deeds are done in a dark place,

And they say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?”

16 You turn things around!

Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay,

That what is made would say to its maker, “He did not make me”;

Or what is formed say to him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?

17 Is it not yet just a little while

Before Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field,

And the fertile field will be considered as a forest?

18 On that day the deaf will hear words of a book,

And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see.

19 The afflicted also will increase their gladness in the Lord,

And the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20 For the ruthless will come to an end and the scorner will be finished,

Indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off;

21 Who cause a person to be indicted by a word,

And ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate,

And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments.

God loves you. He literally entered fallen flesh, walked miles in our shoes, took our place in judgement, and wants to carry us through the eye of the needle into light and eternal life.

Thats His Love!

He doesnt love your darkness. He hates your darkness and sin.

Jesus died on the cross to do surgery.

The death and Resurrection is surgery, sterilizing, and cutting away sin and fallen flesh, and darkness away from our hearts and spirits. And implanting a new heart and mind within us.

Free healthcare. The precedure has been paid in full!

If you do not have this surgery, you cannot enter the kingdom of pure light of God.

He loves you and made away. If you do not ho through His way, you are forever lost!

Psal 51: 10

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Jeremiah 4: 4

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Colossians 2:9

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 1

13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.

17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

19 For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,

20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

21 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,

22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—

23 if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.

25 Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

26 that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints,

27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

28 We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

Sorry, your "surgery" analogy is not Biblical. "Jesus literally entered fallen flesh" is literally gobbledy gook and not Biblical. You don't need surgery, death is required for new life to arise.

John 12:24

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”

Repentance which results in salvation through faith in the blood of Christ puts a sinner in a place recognizing the condemnation of death he is in for sin. When Christ comes in to a person who believes on Him and receives Him by faith, He gives that person a new heart. It's not a "surgery". Your style is not Biblical and the ideas you promote, while well intended, are not constrained by Biblical doctrine and are properly labeled heretical. Maybe you really are saved but I really don't know since you care more about your own way of communicating than you care about what the Bible says. You quote a lot of verses, but always insert your own ideas which are not Biblical.

I don't want a doctrinal debate with you here. If you are going to comment in my debates, keep your saying in line with scripture. This: "The death and Resurrection is surgery, sterilizing, and cutting away sin and fallen flesh, and darkness away from our hearts and spirits." is non-scriptural gobbeldy gook from your own feelings trying to express your own feelings in faith but twisting Bible doctrine out of your pride of thinking you have special insight, typical of Calvinists and those who believe in any form or theistic evolution.

I will answer this question now:

What is your problem? Why can't you stay away ?

Because you called me an idiot. You want to express your views but you do NOT want anyone else to express their views. Like the Roman Catholic church. When you see a different point of view that is different from yours, don't think of it as a challenge to your views; instead, think of it as someone asking a question.

When I say, "God doesn't give a rat's ass for His son" it means, "Why did He forsake His son?" I am asking the same question Jesus did.

Why did Jesus have to die in the manner in which He did? Was it because His messy death would make an ever lasting impression? Shouldn't His words have been the ever lasting impression? Even His exemplary life serves as an ever lasting impression.

Why did Jesus have to die in the manner in which He did? Was it because it came with a ready made symbol (the cross)? Hanging comes with a ready made, widely known, symbol. Ever play hangman?

Oh, and there's one more thing. I don't reject God nor do I reject Jesus. I reject the Roman Catholic Church and anyone who follows it AND tries to present their way as the ONLY way. There are many paths to God. Many religions and I do not follow blindly. Great claims require great proofs. The words you posted do NOT answer the question, "Why did Jesus have to die in the manner in which He did?"

You do not ask the question, "Why did Jesus have to die in the manner in which He did?" If you did, you would be able to explain it. Not by pointing to some words in a book but by using your own words. By expressing what those words mean to you. The bible was meant to open your heart. It was meant to make you feel like you are being filled with the Holy Spirit. But that feeling comes from the meaning you give those words. You don't give me your meaning. I can read the words in the book but I want your interpretation because from my perspective, Jesus could have had a less messy and prolonged death.

Jesus had no sin

And yet, God let Him die on the cross ;)

God wipes out Sodom and Gomorrah but He doesn't lift a finger to save His son.

God turned Lot's wife into a pillar of salt but allowed the Romans to torture His son.

God is going to Rapture millions but He leaves His son hanging.

God parted the Red Sea but was not able to keep the Romans away from His son.

Jesus could walk on water, feed a multitude with a handful of fish and turn water into wine but He couldn't turn Roman weapons into a wet noodle?

God can predict the future so He should be able to come up with actions that will alter the outcome. If He can see the future, He could see the movie Star Wars and then come up with the idea of telling the Roman soldiers, "This is not the Christ you are looking for." He could see the movie, Harry Potter and come up with the idea to give His son an invisible cloak. But He didn't do any of this.

Jesus had no sin

Yet He died a brutal death. The death may have been necessary.... but the brutality?

I mean, if He treats His own son like that, why would I want to follow Him?

What did Satan do that was so bad? He gave Eve an apple. Big deal. Did he get the people of Sodom and Gomorrah to fornicate? Even if he did, a little orgasm never hurt anybody. And yes, maybe he got men to fuck each other up the ass and that's bound to hurt. But after a while, it's not so bad (or so I'm told ;).

I don't know. I think it is you who should use his brain and question the crap they've been feeding you all these years ;)

I'm hoping this latest re opening of Hillary's email investigtion is an answer to prayer. Hillary supports no restriction abortions of viable babies for any reason.

no restrictions? really? citation needed much?

God knows these Babies in the womb. If it were true that over 80% of Americans identify as Christians, abortion would have long ago been just one more historical example of the evils of mankind.

Correction: If it were true that people interpret and believe the bible as you do. There are over thousands of interpretations, on top of that the bible has been revised thousand times over as well, and there are a variety of versions of the bible.

As with the holocaust, Slavery, etc., the inhumanity of man was corrected in our past but here we are with an extremist Democrat party that supports aborting viable Babies for any reason all the way up to birth.

You are aware that abortion is only legal up to a certain point of the pregnancy correct? That after the first 5 to 6 months pregnant it becomes illegal for the operation to take place.

There are nine no restriction abortion states and the Democrat party makes sure there is no federal abortion compromises that would deny these nine states their inhuamnity of infanticide. The GOP is trying to stop the infanticide with a 20 week compromise and these radical pro abortion Democrats block them every time.

You are not fooling God when you vote for these pro abortion politicians. How could you support killing babies he already knows in the womb?

Maybe god has bigger concerns then asentient globs of cells? As long as no actual beings of any kind are being harmed, then there is no immorality in it. Obviously people don't think they can trick an omniscient being, more likely they genuinely don't think this omniscient, omni-benevolent being has any disapproval for abortion.

You are banned, and this discussion is not about abortion, but your comment is so stupid and offensive I have to say this.....

You were you from the moment you were conceived before that single cell which was you became implanted in your mother's womb. That was you from the moment the male haploid's chromozones joined with the female's to make a full set of chromozones. God loved you the moment you came into existence, and that moment was at conception. If you think otherwise, you're being an idiot.

Who said God is omni-benevolent? God hates evil, He cannot be benevolent toward evil, He is not omni-benevolent. God is good all the time. There is a difference between being good and being "omni-benevolent". That's why idiots like you use "omni-benevolent" as an accusation insinuating God is not good enough if He hates evil. Abortion is murder, it's evil, and God hates it. Do you thank God your mother did not abort you by birth control pill or surgery, or do you hate God for allowing you to exist in a body of death and a world of suffering?

Going against God is going against yourself. You can't make God be bad, you can only make yourself remain separated from God in your sin which God hates.

Try again in the next of my discussions if you want to talk, but the political flack is unwelcome here, a distraction from the Discussion Topic and OP, so I'll ban all who bring political issues in here.

I think you and Fartman should get together and see which one keeps their teeth in their mouth the longest.

Sorry From. I appreciate your support for the fact that God loves us, but this is not a political discussion.
