God is an invention of our immaturity. Ancient man was superstitious and had a great fear of being abandoned by his/her parents due to how surprisingly common this was during the antiquity of man. This fear carried on to adulthood where the ever-vigilant, all powerful and all knowing father was imposed on natural forces that man had yet to understand. it was our way of coping with both our ignorance and our fear of living in a random universe Side: Myth
Absolutely, this myth of god was shoved into our minds by people living over two millenia ago who had no clue how puny the earths real place in the universe really was. Every effort to stand up against it usually ended up and still ends up being suppressed either by violence or being ostracized from the society. So many people have died in the name of this myth. Its ridiculous to think that we still haven't developed enough to get ourselves rid of these beliefs. Side: Myth
