He was found on the cross about 2000 years ago, dying in front of His loved ones, for His loved ones. He is not hard to find, if you look for Him.

Ok he is not hard to find really ..... I dont believe that ,he can't be seen ,touched ,or heard yet he is there if you claimed that about anything else you would be taken away to an asylum for your own safety .

He was found on the cross about 2000 years ago, dying in front of His loved ones, for His loved ones. He is not hard to find, if you look for Him.

And yet nobody bothered writing anything about him until decades after he supposedly lived.

David Koresh was a far more convincing messiah if you ask me.

Side: Yes

The question is presumptuous, It's like asking someone "have you stopped beating your wife?" If he says yes or no he admits to doing it both ways. The question assumes that God needs a beginning, but since God is eternal by definition He doesn't have nor need a beginning; he just is.

God may have always existed just as the universe may have always existed.

I mean...the big bang apparently just came from nowhere, but I don't believe that is true.

'Murica! That's the only explanation you need...

This is something we will have a difficulty of understanding in our lives. He was simply there, and always will be. He has no beginning or end. We find it so hard to understand this because we have such an intense time system. Humans are unfamiliar in areas where time gets screwy, such as in certain areas of quantum mechanics, and since they can't grasp a real-life example of it can't really wrap their minds around it.

Side: No

Think about it this way: if he didn't always exist who would have created the universe? There would be nothing at all and this entire universe, any parallel universes, and everything outside of these universes would never exist. There would be absolutely nothing, and since nothing wouldn't even exist and yet it did exist, it would create a horrible paradox that couldn't exist either because paradoxes wouldn't exist, and it would be a huge nonexistent mess of endless nonexistent paradoxes.

Soooooo let me get this straight, there is no explanation for God, he/she always has, but if the universe was eternal that just makes no sense right?

Side: Yes

Wow... um well let's see... Wasn't there this thing called the big bang that began the universe? Yeah sorry but the universe isn't eternal. It had a starting point.

Obviously a fallacious argument. The hidden premise being (as everyone as pointed out) that God began to exist. I see no reason that an atemporal being would need to "begin" to exist.

Side: No
1 point

No one created God, but that doesn't mean he came from nowhere. He didn't "come". He has always been, and always will be.

Side: No

God didn't just poof up out of nowhere. Without Him, we wouldn't even be alive, because He created the universes, the solar system, the planets, the continents... well, you get what I mean. He wants us to have faith in Him because in the end, all the believers will just go to heaven and have eternal life while the non-believers will... according to the Bible, go to eternal death (Hell). :(

Side: No

This is a great pondering question that will never find the answer.
