Islamic values, coupled with Sharia Law, are diametrically opposed to the values the left supposedly embraces. Freedom of speech / expression; freedom of association; freedom of/from religion; equal rights for women, gays etc all would perish under Islamic rule, yet the left still defends them. Go figure? I can't think of a single left-wing person on this website who denies the homophobic nature of Islam, nor of any of the Abrahamic religions. Many of us do defend Muslims, many of whom ignore the more radical parts of their holy texts, just like Christians and Jews. One can defend Muslims without defending Islam. Side: That's bad
