As deep as the books may be and as dark as the movies are, The ideas in Harry Potter hold little, if not not, no originality. The Great J.K. used to struggle a great deal with publishing her short stories, and all of a sudden managed to take a very simple idea about Wizards in a school publish it, turning it into an over rated story. Don't get me wrong, Harry Potter fills ever heart with Magic and happiness, but i just cannot see how such a cliche idea about Wizards made it so big, or at least bigger than a very under appreciated story like Naruto. "Naruto would probably win due to the fact that he has amazing powers" Harry Potter has amazing powers, too. When he was just a baby he fought off the most evil wizard of all time, when he was 11 he trapped his annoying cousin Dudley in a snake tank, when he was 12 he fought off Voldemort again when he killed a giant snake... The list goes on and on... "Ninja stuff is a lot cooler than magic" How? Literally, being a ninja probably makes you really sweaty, whereas if you are a wizard you just have to say expelliarmos and you can send someone flying across the room. "I have seen Naruto win countless times" I have seen Harry Potter win countless times against all sorts of beasts, including spiders, snakes, dragons, wizards, and even tricked his way into a bank guarded by Goblins. I bet Naruto has never done all of that! "He never gives up" This just adds to the fact that the series is unbelievable - whereas everyone can relate to Harry Potter as he goes through his life experiencing more challenges almost every day. "I would say 'GO NARUTO!'" I would say: "Go, Potter!" Side: Harry Potter

You seem to have missed the point of the debate -_- I am not talking about who would kick whose ass, I am talking about story line and both of them as a series. What makes Harry Potter better than Naruto or VV. (For the record, Harry doesn't stand a chance against Naruto or any ninja. Believe it) Side: Naruto

Then perhaps this debate isn't for you. My goal in creating this debate is to hear the opinions from people who have some sort of idea of what each is about. As for your argument that states more people are into Harry potter in comparison to Naruto, that is true. The reason for this however is that most people don't even know about Naruto's existence, let alone what it is about. In order to have an interesting debate, we should gather as much people from both sides that have a good idea about both series. Prove to me that Harry Potter is better. What makes it better? What does Harry Potter have that Naruto doesn't? Side: Naruto
