Has CD become overrun with mindless debates over the existence of God?
Recently, I've noticed a whole bunch of religious debates on this site. Now, I don't mind a good debate about spirituality, but enough is enough, people!
In addition to that, we have stupid, ignorant idiots like srom1883 (I know he he simply must have his full name typed out) who dodge arguments and just put up pro-Christian, anti-everbody else debates. Do you agree?

I actually just went on and it said that I had 7 up votes. So I don't know what alternative accounts you are talking about. I don't cheat my way up. I am not going to discuss the mutliple account thing because I already discussed how I don't have multiple accounts . Side: Absolutely

I'm not surprised. We're living in an age when communication outside of our local group is becoming increasingly common. People are starting to hear ideas they never would have before. Religion has generally survived because people's experiences were limited to the views of those immediately around them, those who pretty much shared those same views. Today, and for a while now, that's been changing and people are hearing other things causing them to rethink what they've been taught. Side: No way!

Just looking at the homepage kind of refuted this for me. At the time, this debate was one of three with religious themes out of fifteen. Even if every debate here was a religious debate I'd still have a problem condemning them. Religion is out of control because of the respect, deference, and politeness it receives from society at large. Religious folk need to hear it from the rest of the world that unprovable faith-based opinions have no right to be respected or taken seriously, much less used to control others. I realize a debate site might not be ideal to get this message across to the general public, but it's still a fun hobby. Side: No way!

Well, here is an interesting situation. Debates, debate topics, preferences, likes, dislikes...why would CreateDebate not have may religious debates? Why wouldn't we have political debates? Why wouldn't we have scientific debates? CreateDebate was formed with one concept in mind. Anyone can create a debate about anything and speak their mind. Like our T-shirt slogan says, We like your friends, btu we love your enemies! We need all kinds of topics, people and mindsets for this site to flourish! Please keep it up! Andy Side: No way!
I like the religious debates. They get the most action. Though there's been a lot lately we've also gotten a lot new members. So we get a few new arguments. New perspectives. Also the religion debates are better than the " whose a better rapper" debates or similar. I find those ones annoying. Side: No way!
