Has political correctness gone too far?

Political Correctness itself is limit on the free mind. For some people, they already think that way. They're okay with Big Brother, Liberal Icons, and the idea that no one's feelings can be hurt unless they are the suppressing majority.

But others aren't. And for that, they are subject to laws and policy that limits their free mind. If a man has a set vocabulary that a certain amount of people find offensive (which in most cases, is ABSOLUTE bullshit, as opposed to pussy bullshit) that man must choose between losing everything he has or limiting his free mind. In a reality sense, he's forced to limit his freedom.

If a man enjoys a certain thing that makes him feel good, but for the good of society the government decides to make his life hell in order to obtain that product, his rights are being limited. In this case, the government legislation can be either Liberal or Conservative (drugs or sin).

And if a man calls an icon on his/her bullshit (such as Al Gore, Noam Chamsky, or Helen Thomas) the man is ridiculed for speaking his mind.

I will say that besides the third paragraph, the first two are definite signs of political correctness forcing human beings to limit their freedom just to avoid the hurt feelings of either a minority group or the government itself. The third is just out of cold-hearted politics.

Political Correctness is one of the worse things to happen to intelligence.

I am interested to know in what context you are asking this. I think the name of this debate is a bit to general to be debatable. The only answer I can give is: sometimes (PC goes too far)

Side: It is itself a limit on freedom

No. This is a factor of the 21st century. Anyone who says the wrong thing will suffer repercussions.
