That an overwhelming majority of people chose to continue using the products of science and technology, including those who like to rail against them, suggests the benefits do outweigh the drawbacks. Otherwise people quite simply would have abandoned them. Side: Yes. It has done more good.
MORE good is the key. Yes, it has done some harm. It is capable of destroying the world in a few hours, but, that's not the fault of technology, that's the fault of the humans that abuse it. Without it we would be saying "Check out my new pointed stick." (Oops, that's getting technical!) Side: Yes. It has done more good.
Science and technology can do harm in the hands of the wrong people but look at the benefits - health science for one - without the immunization programs we would still be experiencing worldwide effects of smallpox, diptheria, polio, etc etc Science and technology drive the quality of our lives, who would want to be without electricity, clean water, sewerage facilities, etc etc Without science and technology we would still be living in the Dark Ages Side: Yes. It has done more good.

People used to be happy when I was a younger man. Now they are all jacked up and on prozak. So you tell me.... we'd hardly even heard of depression when I was a kid. Now it is everywhere. That's what's atheism does. Kill people and their happiness. That's why I fight them. They areliterally doing something that kills hope, sanity, and peace, and yes, I will oppose it to the end. Side: No. It has done more harm

The "science" when I was in highschool is considered crap today. And just think if I'd used spontaneous generation to form my beliefs. I would have been an idiot and wrong. Hell, when I was in school they said Einstein was an idiot! Lol. Enjoy semantics of atheism 101. It'll change in the next 2 years. Bye bye. Side: Yes. It has done more good.
