Have You Ever Dropped an Anvil on Someone's Head?

As a child I watched Roadrunner, Tom and Jerry... all the violent cartoons all the time and I never turned to violence because of watching these shows.  Did you?

I was banned from the other cartoon violence debate so I thought I would bring the discussion over here.

The truth is that kids do... My cousin died when he attempted to imitate one of an Indian cartoon. It is a fact that the minds of the kids must be appropriately guided, I feel terrible when I think of my brother.

There have been such several cases. I don't say violence should be eliminated. But, it has t be thoughtfully scripted.

I'm very sorry for your loss...

But if I were in your position, not that I'm trying tell you how you should feel, I'd blame my brother for this loss if anything. Not the cartoonish violence.

Parents have the responsibility to stop these things.

When I was growing up, I was constantly terrified that my autistic brother was going to commit suicide because of my parents inability to deal with him and his disability.

And if he actually had committed suicide, the only person I could blame were my parents, and it truthfully would have been their fault. Parents have a responsibility that includes stopping such things.

I know that if my future child died doing something I could have stopped him from doing, I would never be able to live with myself... because it would be my fault and nothing else's.

I profusely apologize if this reply was inappropriate.

No, it wasn't inappropriate at all.

Sometimes it is nobody's fault. Circumstances, we believe it or not are at times not under Human control. No matter how much one tries it becomes inevitable to stop what has to happen.

Children especially tender in heart and innocent in mind have various conflicts above their reach of understanding. It is rather sad.

I have always believed that as Human souls it is our responsibility to use the power of our superior understanding. Hence, if the commercial media understood or consulted perhaps a Child Psychologist before releasing it videos may make a difference.

I was constantly terrified that my autistic brother was going to commit suicide because of my parents inability to deal with him and his disability.

I must say that the family your brought up in is extensively brave. And has done the right things at the right times. And I'm glad that chances never betrayed your life. And you are all possibly happy.

Try to get your story straight next time:

"My cousin died when..." becomes, "I feel terrible when I think of my brother."

Where did the brother come from?

My cousin brother.... Which I mentioned contextually before.

No, I'm afraid I've never dropped an anvil on someone's head. It'd sure as hell be interesting to see the results, though.

First of all... I've only see one or two anvils in my life. I always saw them on those good ol' fashion cartoons, but... almost never in reality.

Before questioning motive, one must question how the act was even committed (with such an obviously shot supply of anvils).

You can pick up an anvil at the Acme Superstore! Apparently they have quite a supply of anvils and explosives.

Side: Never!

Alright. Now the question is: are those anvils real anvils that are dangerous? Or just prank ones that aren't dangerous at all? :)

If not, we still have the issue of supply and demand for real anvils!

No, I never have dropped an anvil on anyone's head, but there are a few that I would like to. But seriously, I used to watch those cartoons too and they never made me a violent person.
