Have you applied some of the views on CD for your job or study?

I find that some information provided here have been useful for me. I feel fortunate to learn from this online community.

It is very difficult to find somebody here who has "views" as opposed to a bias. The difference isn't always apparent, but people who have views are able to defend them against scrutiny. People who have a bias are not. They will ultimately end up abusing logic or contradicting themselves in hope of preserving the bias.

The difference between views and bias can often seem subtle in practice if you don't know what you are looking for, but views are obtained after one has analysed something critically and bias is obtained before that.

You might as well stick to using the same account Dana. There's no mistaking you because I just watch out for the posts which look like they have been written by a three year old.

Most of the "views" here are communistic, racial, Trumpist, capitalistic, anti-democratic, or religious. I would have no wish to apply any of them to anything but study. We need to learn about or experience them to know how to control them. Right now, all of them are out of control.

But you yourself are a raging capitalist who still lives inside the fairy tale that, if we put restrictions on capitalism, it will stop behaving like capitalism.

I would say a "raging capitalist" would be one that wants unbridled capitalism, wouldn't you? Really? I'm neither a raging capitalist nor a raging socialist! If I am, YOU are a raging communist.

Look. We disagree, as do most people in the world about some things. I disagree that everything YOU want is the best way .... the ONLY way to go. I disagree that everything YOU say is correct. We have HAD restrictions on capitalism for YEARS, they're called "regulations"! They did NOT cause capitalism to stop behaving like capitalism. They just forced capitalists to spend a LOT of money allowing themselves to get closer to man oligarchy! WE .... are not the "smartest people in the world", and YOU are part of WE! If you think you are, um...., What was that you said about a "fairy-tale"?? ;-)
