that you knew how to refute, either discovered during the course of the arguement or known beforehand, but didn't bother to help out your opponent by bringing it up? Perhaps you just wanted to see if and how they would discover it or you just didn't repect them enough.

Most of the time I wait for a bit then reveal it to them. When I am trying to justify my libertarianism to my conservative family, I do not. But that's only because I am an undercover atheist (hence the ambiguous username and anonymous email address, I might want to run for office one day and I can't have it coming out that make decisions based on evidence) and have to ground every argument with them in the bible. 1
