Heist thieves not arrested

In what has been describesd as the most daring and audacious theft of the modern era,a group of professional bankers from J.P.Morgan, Barklays and others got away with £/$ billions of other people's money without going to jail. Amazing.

While their actions were indeed reprehensible, the fact they have not been arrested has a lot to do with the legal ambiguity of their actions. Do you, for example, know of any law that they have broken for which they can be arrested?

Can't say that I do because I don't. My reading of this record breaking heist is this;- Those behind the heist described themselves as ''the three musketeers'', the ''cartel'' and average representatives of the ''banking community'', they carried out the robbery on their own clients over the course of a couple of years, using high-tech methods such as lying and stealing then covering it up. However, the gang have now been rumbled and face no time in prison as they were never arrested, not tried nor sentenced. One said, it was all very fair and decent, we haven't even been named. The banker continued, the fines were fairly hefty but we're not paying, ha,ha,ha,ha,ha. He then continued to laugh all the way to his bank. The police remain keen to talk to no one in connection with the crime that they are already calling, 'too complicated to understand''. One cop said, it's much easier to eat doughnuts and shoot people.

But that's the thing: Nobody is sure they actually committed any crimes. If anything, it seems they simply took malicious advantage of a lack of regulation regarding the financial industry.

He wrote a fictional account of a an actual event, I can't believe you took the time to respond. Good for you.

You're undoubtedly correct, probably as a result of the average corporation, including the banking industry, or, especially the banking industry, having more brains on their board of directors than all the political law makers and enforcers combined. Like a sort of self regulating Mafioso family.
