I feel it would be naive for anyone to think that, apart from a few genuinely impassioned politicians, most of the legislators on Capitol Hill are there primarily to fill their boots.

The interests of their constituents will only receive occasional peripheral attention when the cameras are rolling.

When it comes to the real serious matter of POCKET-LINING Inter-party deals will be conducted with ideology consigned to the trash cans.
