It can't exist on a macro scale because of the relativity of time (i.e. the fact that the future co-exists with the past), but it might even be integral at a quantum level, (since, among other things, the choice about whether to observe a particle affects its behaviour).
I was just thinking about it while I wait for my audio to render. Strange huh?
