Most nations would try to down-play or, in the case of totalitarian communist states, even ban the publishing or broadcasting of such a disgraceful event. Instead here in the good old U.S.A., it's turned into a musical and cunningly used as propaganda to promote the fortunes of a particular political party which couldn't care about the negative affect it will have on the nation as a whole or the damaging image it promotes internationally. This terrible event will haunt Trump for the rest of his life and ensure that history will not treat him kindly. If trump made his speech of incitement knowing the reaction it would have on some of his more ardent followers he should go to jail. If he didn't know, he should have and should go to jail anyway for gross stupidity while in charge of a country. |
